Love is in the air...
Hello again! I'm so glad that I have a few cards in my stash that I haven't posted yet because this has been such a difficult month! I have spent that past four days at the hospital with my hubby while he underwent his second and hopefully final surgery. The couple of weeks he was home right after the accident, I had time to pull together some cards, knowing that my crafting time would be very limited in the weeks to come. I have made the 40 minute trip back and forth each day, arriving home exhausted each night.
Tomorrow is the BIG day! He is coming home! And...it's his birthday tomorrow! So it's a grand day to come home and begin his recovery. He still has those rods and screws in his leg, for about the next 3 weeks, and after that he can return to work doing light duty. He will not be able to bear any weight until the end of November. A long recover for a very serious injury.
So enough about that, let me share with you my card. This is another image I colored while on bedrest myself, and I chose to use the delightful image of Bride and Bridesmaid, #3051, available at Magnolia-licious. It is from the Wedding Collection 2010.
I have no idea what Copics I used to color the image with, but the dp is from Magnolia as is the Chandalier Glass. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, the leaves are Martha Stewart punches and pearls from my stash. The ribbon is just some generic stuff I've had for ages and the little charm is from Magnolia-licious. I used SU's Not Quite Navy for my matting, and as always, I stitched with my machine around the panels. For Tilda's neclace and hair bobs I used Liquid Pearls and a little Stardust Stickles on the edge of her dress and her shoes.
A closer looks and my image...
Here is a close up of the flowers...
The inside is pretty simple. I really wanted the dp to shine through and not detract from the elegant feel of the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by to see my creation.
Hugs,
Barb
