ABC Challenge - "T is for Two"

Hello friends! Can you believe that it's already July 15th! Before you know it the kids will be back to school and the lazy hazy days of summer will be over.

Today I have my final card for the ABC Challenge as a guest designer. It has been a wonderful journey for the past 3 months and at times a bit of a challenge too!

This week our sponsor is "The Paper Shelter" and the theme is T is for Two! So we want to see two of something on your card. Two embellishments, two images, two flowers, two dp's...just two of something! So I invite you to play along with us.

For my card I chose this delightful digital image called Cute Dress Maker. I have a wooden board that sits up over a window in my studio. My daughter gave it to me years ago and I love it. It is a country style and says "A day hemmed in prayer seldom unravels" and I decided it was the perfect sentiment for this cute image...

Here is a little closer view of my coloring...

The dp's I used are from my stash, the silver corner adorner is from my BFF in SA Paola (actually I think she sent me the paper as well). Thanks so much Paola for sharing your "stuff" with me. The lace and ribbon are also from my stash. The pretty flowers are new from WOC and I'm lovin'em! The Sentiment is on SB Labels two die.

So here is the artistic view of my card. I only did the front and will go back at a later date and fill in the rest of the card.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comments...blessings to you all...Barb

Taking some time off...

Dear blogging friends!

Isn't it interesting the way life throws you curve balls?

I've been facing a very slow curve ball for the past several months, which has escalated to a fast ball. This will be my second to the last post for a while, I have one scheduled for next week and that will be it.

So, here are the final card fronts I made for Diana. I absolutely loved this dp which I purchased at my local LSS and am delighted with the way the card turned out.

I only took one picture!! GASP! I can't believe it!!!!! So as sitting here is a struggle I'll just make this short.

Here ya go...

I also made this little note book for her. I'm having so much fun doing the grass and sky. I like the way this one turned out....

A closer look at Tilda...

And the ever present cock-eyed view....

Thank you all so much for your support and encouragement and lovely comments over the years. It may be quite a while before I can blog again, I'm really hoping sooner than later.

Blessings and hugs,

Barb

DP2 Challenge at Mo's!

Hey there, blogging friends!

Are you ready for another wonderful challenge at Mo's DP2?
It's the first Thursday of the month so the theme is "Anything Goes"! Chose any image from Mo's fabulous selection and just design away! As long as you use one of Mo's images you can make a card or alter something. Whatever floats your boat!

For my card I chose a recent image called "Kite". Isn't he just the cutest thing you ever saw? I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him.

So here's a peek at him...

A closer look at the coloring...(oops, don't look too close because some of my markers bled when I did the sky)

And of course the delightful "artsy" view...

My card recipe...

Copic markers (sorry didn't keep track of the colors I used)
CS - SU Brilliant Blue and Cherry Cobbler
Image printed on Xpress It Blending
DP - Jillibean "Pinch of cool"
Buttons - stash
Sentiment - computer generated
Spellbinders Labels Two and Fancy Tags 2
Sewing Machine

That's it for today. As always, I love it when you stop by for a visit. I'll be back soon with more from my crafting table...

Blessings and hugs,

Barb

A little Shabby and a little Chic...

Hey dear friends! I'm back to show you another card front today.

I tried to do this in the Shabby Chic style, but I have such a hard time getting it to look clutter-y and vintage-y like I'd like to do.

Anyhoo, for this card I used #261 Tilda with Hawaii Flower. I also used a Magnolia Swirl die to add some dimension to the card front. Both are available from Diana here. I also used Magnolia dp's on this card. Flowers, corner decor, SB Heart circle die, doily ribbon, ribbon slider and Baker's twine are all from my stash.

Here is a look at the whole card...

Here is a closer look at this sweet little Tilda...

I used a Spellbinder Heart Shape plus a little tag I found lying around in a drawer. the sentiment is from SU "Short and Sweet" stamp set.

Thanks so much for your visit. I so appreciate that you take the time to drop by and see what my latest creations are.

Blessings and hugs,
Barb
