For my inspiration piece I decided to make a 12 by 12 No Cut gift box.  These are so easy and you can make up a bunch, leave them flat stored in a drawer and pull them out as you need them.  A very handy idea....

Here I've used Lomasi (Pretty Flower) from Wee Stamps.  I was waiting to use her on a fall project.  She just spoke Autumn to me!  She is colored with Copic markers with highlights to her beads with Atyou Spica Pens.  Because I wanted my image to be on display, I attached the circle a little lower on the belly band.  This way  the circle props up the box.

Here is a closer look at Lomasi.  I think she is just so stinkin' cute!

There is nothing inside my box as yet.  I will find some special 'something' to fill it with and then give it to a friend.

Thanks for stopping by to see my Inspiration piece.

Many blessings and hugs XX

Happy Hump Day!

Hello, hello friends.

It's Wednesday, and today my fellow DT buddy Norma Lee and I have the pleasure of presenting our inspiration pieces.

I have made a Criss Cross card using SU Blackberry Bliss and Some Hello Honey accents.

Here is my card:

The sentiment is from a retired SU set called Blooming with Kindness.  The large ribbon is a piece of retired ribbon from SU which I've had for eons.  I THINK it is Barely Banana, but I'm not sure.  The other bits of ribbon are Blackberry Bliss from SU.

Here is the stamped panel which lifts out by the little tab.  The image is #241 Tilly With Flowers from the Wild Rose Studios line.  She is available at Diana's online store and so much more.
Here is a closer look at Tilly and how I colored her...The sentiment on this panel is from Hobby Lobby.

I'm sorry about the yellow tint to my cards lately.  I just have a new Light Box and it seems that everything has a yellow cast.  I'm working on remedying the situation.  I think a change of bulbs is in order.

Well that's it from me.  I hope you'll be inspired to try some of the precious images from Wee Stamps, Penny Black, Wild Rose Studios, Saturated Canary, Candibean, From the Hollow Fairies and Doll House collection which Diana carries.

Many blessings
 Barb

My submission this week uses a Saturated Canary image called Canary Love.  I'm so in love with these darling images so I just had to work one of them into my posts.

My card is actually an A2 size and a CAS (Clean and simple) as well!  I think this could grow on me.  If you need to make quite a few cards in a short period of time, keeping it simple is a necessity.
The paper used is from a pad called "Happy Day" by My Mind's Eye.
For this type of image, having a good selection of color is most necessary for the coloring process.

I have used Copics and a little Spica Atyou (on the head band).  The shading around the image also includes some Adirondack Lights Pigment ink. The ribbon is from my stash and the only embellie needed on this card.

Here she is, up close and personal...

The inside is clean and simple also.  I have used a pre-made card which was embossed on the front, so the addition of the little banner from Memory Box was perfect.
On the salutation page I just added a little sentiment from Bebunny that I thought fit perfectly with the theme of the image.

To complete my card I used some of the DP on the envelope flap.  I like this touch.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Don't forget to leave comments whenever you can to be entered in the free drawing.

Many blessings,
