DP2 Challenge 139 - At The Park

Howdy, howdy! Hope you're having a fabulous week so far. Woohoo, we're nearly at the weekend, not that it really matters for hubby and I since we're enjoying retired life!

Well our challenge this week at Mo's DP2 is to create something (project or card) that is a scene/something you do "At The Park". Just remember you must use one of Mo's fabulous images and just get as creative as you want.

For my card I chose the image "Young Love" since they're sitting on a park bench. I'm enjoying using my new found coloring skills and trying to get it right. I also experimented with using my Copics to do a sky background (practice, practice, practice!). So here's a look at my card.

These next two photos are close ups of the sweet image and my sentiment which is computer generated.

DP2 Challenge #138 - Anything Goes

Hello my sweet friends...I hope you're having a fabulous week and are looking forward to the weekend. I know that I am!!

It's challenge day at Mo's DP2 and because it's the first Thursday of the month it's "Anything Goes". So grab yourself any of Mo's awesome images and create something wonderful!

For my image I used "Mummu in Summer". I could color the Mummu images forever they are so delightful. Here's where you can find Mummu!

Recently I took the Copic Intermediate Coloring Course and I've tried to apply some of the information I learned to coloring this card...here goes!

I know I'll need to practice, practice, practice, but I'm pretty pleased with how my first attempt came out.

Here's a closer look at that coloring...very different from what I had taught myself to do...


Now for a gander at the inside. Kinda simple - no flowers and not much fru-fru!






Now let's move on to the artistic/cockeyed view...



Because I worked longer than usual on coloring this image, I didn't keep track of the colors. I'll try to do better in the future. DP's are from my stash, CS is SU Pacific Point, Bazzill White and Green Xpress It Blending Card. Flowers are from WOC, pearls and seambinding are from my stash. Punches are from Martha Stewart. Sentiment on front is from Michael's $1 bin, sentiment on the inside is from my stash.

DP2 Challenge # 137 - Weather Related Card or Project

Howdy folks, this is my second post this week and another will follow tomorrow.

Today is my DP2 challenge card and our theme is "Weather Related". So hop on over to Mo's and pick up one of her gorgeous images that relates to weather and show us what you've created. As you can see I chose a winter scene.

Actually I colored this up about a year and a half ago and never got to use it. So I pulled it out from my stash of already colored images and half the card was done for me. As I said in my previous post, I'm really pressed for time these days. No children to care for any more, but I've become twice as busy!! Go figure!!!

Anyway, here is the front of my card. I haven't finished the inside as yet, but I will get to it!! I have used "Toboggan" for my card.

Here is a close up of my image. Since it was colored so long ago I have no idea what Copics I used. I used my SB Labels 18, Petite Circle and Petite Scalloped circle. The heart tag is my newest acquisition but I can't remember the name of it. The dp is from my stash, the name long gone. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon from my stash and the Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.

Here is the sweet little tag pulled out from is resting place behind the image. The sentiment on this one is from AmyR Stamps Handy Christmas Greetings. Love that set of sentiments.

Mo's DP2 Challenge #131 - Flowers

Top of the mornin' y'all! It's time again for another challenge at DP2. This week we want to see flowers. All kinds of flowers! Any kind of flowers!

I know this card seems a little off season right now, but I made it quite some time ago for my sister's birthday on St. Patrick's day. It was mailed off at the beginning of March, but I wanted to use this one for my "Flower" entry. You can find this image and hundreds of other fabulous creations by Mo at her online shop Mo's Digital Pencil. We are hoping you'll join us in the challenge this week!

So here is my funky little card using Little Irish Dancer...

DP2 Challenge #130 - Seeing Spots

Howdy y'all!
There's a new challenge up at DP2 and we're seeing spots before our eyes!
That's right! We're a little spotty over at DP2 and we'd love for you to come and join us. If you haven't figured it out, our challenge is SPOTS. Just a few or spots everywhere!
Emboss 'em, color 'em, use spots on your dp or ribbon, just get some spots on your project and OF COURSE use one of Mo's fabulous images on your project!

Here is what I came up with. It seems that my last few cards have been using green,
but I found this wonderful paper from Magnolia in my stash and paired it with some pretty orange (which had no name on it). I had to cut the brightness of the green somehow.

Here is my card front...as you can see I used LOTS and LOTS of SPOTS!

I used Mo's sweet image named Adele. You can find her and hundreds of equally fantastic images here.

Here's the inside of my card. The salutation panel is pretty plain in comparison to the sentiment panel as I didn't feel that it needed much more.
