Dr. Monday M.D. I'm forever altered!

Good morning all!

 I've been working ahead to have posts scheduled as my summer is proving to be quite busy. I love to work ahead anyway so that I'm not caught short or trying to pull together a project at the very last minute.

 If you haven't been shopping at Magnolia-licious store lately, please don't wait. This new collection "Year of the Animal" is just so precious it will sell out very quickly. Diana also has some new dies, flowers, leaves, peppers, grasses and stems which are all new in her store.  Drop over and check out all her cool stuff.

 I'm presenting to you this time around three projects which I have altered.
 This first one is a little watering can which I purchased at Michaels 50% off clearance shelf. I have filled it with jelly beans, put a little piece of tulle over the top to hold them in, added a little bow and then made lollipops to stick into the can.

Here is A18 Tiptoe Tilda.  The sentiment is from SU the butterfly stamp is from Stampabilities.  I used Spellbinders Classic Circle and Lacey Scalloped Circle dies.  Of course my image is colored with Copic Markers.  I also use MicroGlaze by Judikins over all my colored images.  You just rub it in and it seals your paper from staining. 

This is a small tin jar which contains "solid" hand lotion.  I purchased it at my local quilting shop and altered it a little.  Just a little!  This is A8 Tilda with Elsie Lamb.  Sooo cute!  

This is a side few of the little tin.  I've colored with Copic markers and used SU card stock to layer my image.  Again, I finish my project with MicroGlaze to seal my work.  Since it's a bit waxy you make it the last step as you can't color over it.

Here is the tin opened and you can see the hand "lotion" inside.  It really works well to soften your dried hands and it smells WONDERFUL!  I will keep this in my purse!

Isn't this cute?  This is a little milk bottle, also found on the clearance shelf at Michael's.  I has a cow and the word Dairy impressed into the side of the bottle which gave me the idea to use #418 Little Miss Moo Moo.

Here is the reverse side of my tag.  The sentiment is computer generated.  The card stock is SU and the little hearts are a small punch I've had for years.

Here is a closer look at Little Miss Moo Moo.  She wasn't too hard to color, but I will admit that I had to goggle to see where the black spots would naturally be on a cow.

Dr. Monday M.D. A card...at last!

Good Monday morning faithful readers. I have a card to share with you this week...NOT a box! 

 I just recently received a wonderful parcel with the latest collection of "Year of the Animal" mini images. I have been having a blast coloring up a storm. I had a few projects worked up that only needed the images colored, attached and ready for blogging. So here is the first one. 

 Have you been to Magnolia-licious lately? OMG! There is a whole lot of wonderful there. New images regular sized and mini, new dies, new flowers and such a huge collection of everything you need for your paper crafting. Also, please check out Patty Jo's delicious blog. You know she is the Queen of Dies. Her Dr. Monday projects are always incredibly creative. 

 I only have a couple of pictures to show you this week, so without further ado, here ya go...

This is A21 Tilda with Lace Pants.  Such a sweetie!  

This is just a quick peek at the inside of the card.

Okay, now, I want to show you a little something else.  I was recently asked  if I could make something pretty for our Mission team to take to bless the 17+ ladies who work at an orphanage in Uganda.  These sweet women are making huge sacrifices to care for the orphaned children.  All of these women are native Ugandan women.  So I got really busy and made up a gift bag for each one and three extra.  In a previous post, I shared the mini Post it Note holders I had made.  I popped each one into small draw-string bags.  Then I made a bunch of Tic Tac Booklet Holders.  So I really wanted to make something I could color on, and decided to make each lady a 3 x 3 Post it Note holder.  So for the next few weeks I will be posting several of those at the end of each post.  I hope you will enjoy what I've done.

My first prototype.  Here I have used #306 Mermaid Tilda.  I also used the "out of the box" technique so she would fit beautifully on the front flap. The lace at the bottom is from my stash.

Prototype 2, I just had to add some flowers. Not at all practical to throw into your purse, but delightful to look at.    I used #443 Bunny Prince Orjan.  The lace here is also from my stash.

These new images are just so adorable.  I have loved coloring them.  Look at the toes!  Aren't they sweet?  This one is A1 Edwin with Teo the Dragon.  Each Note cover was made using The Luxury Stack  Pearlized & Metallic cardstock which I bought from JoAnn's several years ago.  It very heavy weight so worked perfectly. 

This is A2 Edwin with Tin Tin the Dog. Soooo cute!

Here we have A17 Flower Tilda with Bow Knot. I'm tellin' ya!  These are just too stinkin' cute!

My final one for this week... A19 Summer Strawberry Tilda.

Okay ladies, here is a recipe of all the ingredients I've used to create these:

CS - mostly from SU some new, some retired
DP - all from my stash because I really need to move some of this stuff out
Ink - all images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and all images are colored with Copic markers
To add color around the images I also use Aridondack Lights - Cloudy Blue, Aqua and Shell pink
Dies - Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Ovals, Classic and Scalloped Circles, Classic and Scalloped Squares, Memory Box Penne Frame and for the little scalloped edges on the card I used Whimsy Stamps Pennant die Set, just the toppers and placed them for the borders of my accent piece on the card.
The sweet little fuzzy brads were a gift from a friend a number of years ago and I've been hoarding them.
Sentiment - SU Short & Sweet (old and maybe retired) then on the inside of the card "Thinking of You" is from Studio G (I think that came from Hobby Lobby.

Dr. Monday M.D. (Mini's and Dies) Match Box Tilda

Good Monday morning my dearies and welcome back to my blog. If you haven't pieced it together yet, I'm just batty over boxes.

 I don't think I even remember how to make a card, though that would be so much easier for me than several boxes per post. But, I'm just lovin' it and so are the people who are the recipients! So I just keep on making them and hope that you'll find one or two that will inspire you to try some also.

This week I've used my Envolope Punch Board to make some delightful Matchboxes.  It was a great way to use up some of my left over cardstock and designer paper.  I have a ton of left over pieces that I really need to put to good use.  Boxes are an excellent way to start chipping away at those piles.

So here are the little Matchboxes that I had such fun making...

I managed to make 6 of these in all.  They are each filled with 6 Mini Hershey's candy bars.

So you're looking here and wondering how they qualify for a Magnolia post.  Well you'll be surprised to see how I managed to work my Maggies into these treat boxes...

First, let me show you how wonderfully the little chocolates fit into each box.  Perfect!!

Here is my first box.  Voila!  I simply added a Mini Maggie to the inside of each box, so that as the chocolate disappears the image appears.  I thought it was quite clever of me!!! (giggle)
In this box I have used #368 Tilda With a Bike. OH ;-( she is not available in the store.

Box number two!  Love the Chocolate cardstock I used.  Perfect with the little chocolate bars!

Box number three.  Isn't this cute?  This is #3117 London Tilda from the 2013 Little London Collection.
I love how Tilda has changed over the years.  She has much more personality, don't you think?

And box number four.  This is #01 Tilda with Fantasy Flower from the 2014 Lost and Found Collection.  She is available in the regular size but not in the Mini. :-(  You can see that I have used similar DP as in the box above, but I used it a little differently.  Both work out equally well.

We're nearly done.  This is box number five.  In this box I've used #294 Tilda with a Balloon from the You're So Special collection of 2011. I can't find her in Diana's store, so I guess she was retired quite a while ago :-(

Here is my final box.  I used #02 Tilda Hiding Bouquet from the 2014 Lost and Found Collection.

I designed this box a little differently.  I made a tag using the SU Scalloped Tag Topper, added a sentiment and a little bit of ribbon and it slips between the belly band and the box.

Well, you've stayed with me to the end of another lengthy post.  It seems I can't do a short post, but I'm working on it!

Dr. Monday M.D. Delightful 12 X 12 No Cut Gift Box

Hello to all my blogging and Maggie friends! I'm delighted that you've come back to visit my blog. I have a rather lengthy post for you today.  Okay, when isn't my post rather lengthy - giggle!

I have made several of these wonderful boxes, each using just one 12" X 12" sheet of double sided designer paper.  There are NO, repeat, NO cuts done to the paper.  You will need some contrasting cardstock for your Belly Band and image. I will include a link to the YouTube Video showing exactly how to make these at the end of my post.  It  might look hard, but the gal has done a fabulous job with her tutorial.  You'll be addicted after your first one, I promise! You can also see the most recent box I made on my post here.

So if you're ready let's get started.

Here is my first box.  I have used #241 Dancing Party Tilda from the 2011 You are So Special Collection. I don't see her in the store :-(   but if you contact Diana she will do her level best to set you up.

Once the paper is all folded this is what it will look like.  You create a small box in the center with the overlapping flaps top and bottom.

Here I've used #3032 Unwrapped Tilda from the 2010 Christmas Collection.
This a small container of Lip Balm from the Michael's $1 bin.  I have a box full of stuff from Michael's for  the purpose of altering.  The little Lip Balms, in their own cello boxes tied with a ribbon  make an excellent gift.  This particular one went to a very dear friend who had us over for dinner.  What a delightful Hostess gift these boxes make.

Here is the set.

This is the back of the box, folded completely flat for storing.  You can make several of these in an evening, store them on a shelf.  When you need a gift just pull one out, make a Belly Band and fill the box with anything you desire.  Chocolate would be a good idea!

This is the second box I made.  I've used #08 For you Tilda from the 2014 Lost and Found Collection.  I added a little ribbon to the Belly Band. Again she is out of stock. :-(

Here is the box with the Belly Band removed.  Oops!  I see that I have mounted Tilda a little off kilter.

I had one more Lip Balm left, so I decorated it with #280 Tilda with Stripped Tights. Unfortunately she is no longer listed in the store :-(  Again, if you contact Diana she will do her best to accommodate.

On the back of both of the Lip Balms I used this cute sentiment from Inkadinkado at Hobby Lobby

Here is another box I created.  This time I used #307 Nurse Tilda from the 2011 Winner Takes All Collection.  Just click on her name and the link will take you directly to her.  Can you see that I used Spellbinders Labels 18 which match the shape on the designer paper exactly.

To go with my Nurse theme, I put together a small packet of Get Well stuff. Aspirin, Bandaids, Insect Bite lotion etc.

Another box this one using  #3021 Love Love Love Tilda from the 2013 Special Moments Collection.  I gave Tilda some polka dot shoes! ;-) I also used a Memory Box Die - Lacy Circle to frame Tilda.

Finally, my last box.  On the Belly Band I used the Memory Box Penne Die. :-( No longer available.

Dr. Monday M.D. - Time for Babies...Favor Boxes

Good morning my lovelies! It's Monday again, a new week has started and at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog we have another project for your enjoyment.

 Have you been over to my team mate Patti Jo's blog to see her Dr. Monday projects?  If you haven't.

 I heartily encourage you to visit her.  She is the Queen of Dies!  She make the most stunning cards from different dies and uses them in new and fabulous ways.  You don't want to miss see them, and while you're there remember to leave her a comment so that your name will be a contender for the weekly draw.

For my Dr. Monday project I decided to do something for the babies.  I have made two sweet little gift boxes.  Just click on their names and it will take you to the YouTube site and tutorial.  

This little box is a Mini Sewing box.

This is #3014 Cute Little Tilda from the Special Moments Collection 2013.  Isn't she adorable?
She is in stock and only $4.99.  You can apply your in store credit if you like and Diana will ship immediately.

Cute Little Tilda is mounted on a star shape...

On the back of the star I mounted a small scalloped circle with a little sentiment in the center.  As you can see I've also added a little charm of a baby carriage.

Here is the box with the star tag removed and you can see that I punched holes in each side and held the box closed with some satin ribbon.

Once the handle is move to the side there is another opening.  It is kind of like a sewing box like Grandma used to use.  I applied small brads to finish this off.  Inside is just large enough for a small gift, a little necklace or earrings.  It's a darling little box.

This little box is called a Mini Open Basket.  This is the back of it to show you how the handle is formed.

As this is my baby boy gift box I decided to use # 11 Little Trumpety with Bow from the Lost and Found Collection 2014.
He is available :-) and he is so stinkin' cute!

Here he is attached to the bow a Light Blue Silk Ribbon.

             I'm sorry to say that I can't find the little piece of paper that listed all my ingredients for these two boxes.
