We all have situations in our lives which require a special card to be made. I made this one for a friend who is going through several up and downs in her life. Since I know she received the card today, I know I can post it here and not give it away.
I did the stitching using a pattern I thought would be super with a Tilda poised on the leaf! She rather obliterates the leaf, but you can still see a bit of it.
Here is my card...
The dp is called October Afternoon by Cosmo Cricket and it was a gift from this very friend. I didn't want to put too much on the front of the card and distract from my Tilda and stitching, so I merely distress a paper doily and then usd my Just Rite stamper for the sentiment. The circle and Scalloped circle are made with my Nestabilitie dies. All matting is Cameo Coral. I added little pearls to each of the scallops that show.
Here is a closer look at Tilda...
For the inside I once again used my Just Rite Stamper and made the same circular label as on the front. I added small self adhesive pearls completely around the scalloped circle! Kept this really simple not using flowers or any other embellies.
For the notation portion I flipped the October Afternoon dp over to expose the green, mounted it on Cameo Coral, distress another doily and repeated the circle/scalloped circle with pearls theme. I can't for the life of me remember what Copics I used to color my image...it was done while I was layed up in bed for 10 days.
So, thank you for coming by to see my latest creation...and best wishes for a brighter days ahead to my sweet friend!
Hugs,
Barb

So precious, Barb. Love the colours you use and your colouring is alway top notch. Your embroidery on paper is always a WOW factor. I managed to visit one craft store while I was on vacation and they had all these templates with pin-prick holes for embroidery pattern. They made me think of you.
