Shake shake shake!

Welcome back my dearies!

This is a scheduled post as I'm laid up for the next day or so.

Here is another card front I've done for Diana, but when I finished it I decided to add a small Easel portion to it so that you could see it better. This is a Shaker card and it was a delight to make.

I've used two wonderful Mini images on this card. #231 Summer Flower Tilda and #505 Stoney Pathway. Diana has a fabulous deal on her minis at this time. Here is Summer Flower Tilda....It's hard to see the clear micro beads I have used in the shaker portion, but they are there - believe me! I must have spilled a kazillion of them all over my craft table trying to get them between the transparency and the image. Sheesh!!

Here is a closer look at Tilda and the stoney pathway. You can kind of see the beads here, but they're very MICRO and clear...I'm sorry to say that I didn't keep track of my Copics on this card.

Here is a side view of the card. You can see that I used a very small easel shape to prop the card with. Paper, pearls, buttons and ribbon are all from my stash. I'm kind of reducing my inventory a little at a time.

Wish big...

Hello my dears! It's hump day and that means the weekend is going to be here before you know it! I hope you've had a great week so far and were able to get lots of crafting done.

Me, hmmmmmmm, not so much. I have injured my back and find sitting almost too much to bear, but thankfully I'm going to a pain management specialist and I think I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel. So a short post for today...

Today I'm posting a card front I made for our Diana at her request. I have 5 actually, but will put them in later posts. They are now in the mail and on their way to her.

So here's the first one I did...I hope you like it! I have used Summer Flower Tilda Mini (she came in a bundle with Water Can Tilda) and she is available from Diana at a super great cost. You can find her here.

I'm sorry I didn't keep track of the Copics I used on any of the card fronts. I was trying to get them done in spurts, so I kept putting away my copics without keeping a list. On his card I used a GoKreate die which I had sometime ago cut and then didn't use. So I paired it with another scrap of paper to build some layers. Everything on this card is from my stash - an inventory reduction you could say.

Okay, now that business is taken care of, here is my project...

I have made (another) candle for my project and I'm lovin' how it turned out. This is my second attempt at stamping on candles - it's such a cool technique!

Here I have used #168 Loving Bridal couple from the Wedding Collection 2010 (available only in the mini size) and paired it with #660 Wedding Background from the same collection.


Here is a closer look at the couple...

On the back of the candle I added #3040 Flower Girl with Petals and a sentiment from SU. Unfortunately the Flower Girl is available in Mini size only.

To add some finishing touches I added some pearl lace to the top of the candle and plain pearls to the bottom.
I also gathered some tulle, made a Rosette and glued the layers together. I added some scattered pearls to the tulle. This was so much fun to make, I think I could quite easily get hooked on this.

Magnolia-licious Highlites June Challenge

Hi everyone!

I'm back again with another card, this time for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog.
I'm sooooo late in posting this card. It was due on the 1st. and here it is the 4th already!!! Wow! Time is flying!

Our challenge this month is "Water, Water Everywhere". We've all come up with such diverse cards on this challenge. Hope you'll drop by the Challenge Blog and check it out AND get creative yourself and show us your project! Diana at Magnolia-licious Store has a free image for the one who wins the draw! So dive right in, the water is fine!!!

I chose to make a Swing Card (or a Flip Flop Card). I found the water dp at the bottom of my stack of blue papers and thought it would work out well. Here's what I came up with...

Card folded closed - #666 Sea Background...unfortunately, neither of the images I used are available anymore.

This is the card kind of propped open - a very difficult card to photograph I found!

Here is a view of the back of the card laid flat. The Sea Background is actually the front of my card...

The sailing vessel charm is from my stash as are the pearls. The sentiments are computer generated. Both images are colored with Copic Markers. The flowers are from WOC and the gingham ribbon is SU long time retired.

At ABC is Quilt time!

Heidi Ho everyone! It's the first of June and time for another ABC Challenge.

We're marching on toward the end of the alphabet so this time it "Q is for Quilt". Our sponsor this time is the delightful Bugaboo Digi Stamps. What an array of cuteness they have on their online store.

For my card I choose these adorable ladybugs called Ladybug Stack. Aren't they just cute as can be? Because we need to make a card that is quilt related, and because if have stacks and stacks of fabric from my quilting days I choose to actually make a 9 patch square and sew in onto my card base. Sew easy!!!

Here is my care front (and it's only a front because I am pressed for time lately)
I will go back and complete this card when life slows down.

Since I don't have an inside to show you I have just three photos of my card. Here is a closeup of my image. A card recipe will follow at the end of this post.
