ABC Challenge - "T is for Two"

Hello friends! Can you believe that it's already July 15th! Before you know it the kids will be back to school and the lazy hazy days of summer will be over.

Today I have my final card for the ABC Challenge as a guest designer. It has been a wonderful journey for the past 3 months and at times a bit of a challenge too!

This week our sponsor is "The Paper Shelter" and the theme is T is for Two! So we want to see two of something on your card. Two embellishments, two images, two flowers, two dp's...just two of something! So I invite you to play along with us.

For my card I chose this delightful digital image called Cute Dress Maker. I have a wooden board that sits up over a window in my studio. My daughter gave it to me years ago and I love it. It is a country style and says "A day hemmed in prayer seldom unravels" and I decided it was the perfect sentiment for this cute image...

Here is a little closer view of my coloring...

The dp's I used are from my stash, the silver corner adorner is from my BFF in SA Paola (actually I think she sent me the paper as well). Thanks so much Paola for sharing your "stuff" with me. The lace and ribbon are also from my stash. The pretty flowers are new from WOC and I'm lovin'em! The Sentiment is on SB Labels two die.

So here is the artistic view of my card. I only did the front and will go back at a later date and fill in the rest of the card.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comments...blessings to you all...Barb

ABC Challenge - R is for ROMANCE

Welcome back to my blog! This is my second post in as many days. I hope you're not getting fed up with me!

Today I have my Guest DT project for the ABC Challenge. I've kind of gotten into doing up some candles lately (please check back on Monday for another candle project). My nephew is getting married in August and I thought this would be a little something extra to send him along with the gift I have purchased. Well anyway.....

Our challenge is, "R is for Romance" and girls this can take you down many avenues.
This weeks challenge is sponsored by Lacey at Stamp & Create! We'd love to see what you can do with our theme, so please don't forget to link up your project with Mr. Linky and join in the fun.

Here is my candle....

Here is a closer look at the lovely couple...

At ABC is Quilt time!

Heidi Ho everyone! It's the first of June and time for another ABC Challenge.

We're marching on toward the end of the alphabet so this time it "Q is for Quilt". Our sponsor this time is the delightful Bugaboo Digi Stamps. What an array of cuteness they have on their online store.

For my card I choose these adorable ladybugs called Ladybug Stack. Aren't they just cute as can be? Because we need to make a card that is quilt related, and because if have stacks and stacks of fabric from my quilting days I choose to actually make a 9 patch square and sew in onto my card base. Sew easy!!!

Here is my care front (and it's only a front because I am pressed for time lately)
I will go back and complete this card when life slows down.

Since I don't have an inside to show you I have just three photos of my card. Here is a closeup of my image. A card recipe will follow at the end of this post.

And here is the artsy view...

Card Recipe:

Ribbon - stash
Ladybug charm - stash

ABC Challenge "P" is for Pockets...

Welcome back everyone to another ABC Challenge. We have traveled through the alphabet and have arrived at the letter "P". Our challenge to you this fortnight is to create a card with a pocket.

I saw a pocket card on Danielle's blog and she did a beautiful job on her's. I was obviously impressed, because I CASEd her card. I wanted to use a pocket style which was a little different and this certainly fit the bill.

Here is my card:

Here is a closer look at Tilda:

Here is the salutation panel removed from the pocket:

ABC Challenge Blog - May 1st Challenge

This is a new one for me...I have two posts for today. Whew! I've been very busy!

This is my first post as a Guest Designer for the ABC Challenges. I was so honored when Julie Price asked me to come on board for a few months.

If you're looking for my Magnolia-licious Post, "Here Comes Summer" please click here to link to the post.

The challenge for this fortnight is "O" is for Orange. I must admit that I had to scramble for this challenge as I don't usually use the color orange, but I dug deeeeep into my stash and found a small amount of orange to use on my card.

I have used a Saturated Canary image called Baby Girl. I paper pieced the dress and used the complimentary color of blue to highlight really make her pop!

Here is the card front...

Here is a close up of the baby...

A couple of side views...

I only had enough dp to do one inside panel, so I've not shown any photos of the inside.

We would love for you to come on over to the blog and show us your "O" if for Orange creation.

Blessings and Hugs,
Barb
