But first, here's a little reminder for you. Your just might come away with a sweet gift from Diana too!

Okay, before I go any farther, please let me tell you about the most amazing new product at Diana's store.  It's call Quick Release Paper and it is AWESOME!  You place it between your die and the
card stock or paper your cutting.  Your die and small intricate pieces just fall out for you. No more prying stick paper in the tiny little niches in your die.  Check it out here

Okay, now for the challenge....

I hope I stayed within the parameters for this...I didn't use a Tilda or an Edwin but I did use this adorable  Snowman.
Here is my Easel Card using #242 Snowman.  He is colored with Copic markers and a little dash of Adirondak Lights.  The Bow is Magnolia's Brides Bow.  I also used Spellbinders Labels18 for the sentiment.  The sentiment is from a Christmas Set by Amy R.  I added a little charm under the bow...it's an ice skate.  Then on the bottom section of the card I used a die from The Greeting Fram and added a Magnolia (Sweden) Chritsmas sentiment.

So there we have it!  I hope you've enjoyed viewing my project.

Many Blessings and Hugs,
Barb

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

Gooooooood morning to all!

Today is a great day =) and a very sad day as well =( Our precious grand-kids, Jordan, Josslyn and Brielle left this afternoon to return home to their parents. Boo hoo! We had a fabulous time with them, it was taxing and exhilarating all at the same time. I'm thankful to have them in my life, but glad I don't have to raise kids anymore! =)

Well now on with business. Today is Team A's turn to take up the challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. This week our challenge is "Christmas in July".

NEWS! NEWS! NEWS!

From now on for ALL Challenge Posts, WWPB Posts & "W"ednesday posts...if you leave comments on the DT gals blogs and/or the posts on this challenge blog...you will be ENTERED to WIN!!

Can you believe it? We're half way through the year already. Hard to think of Christmas when the temperature outside is in the mid 90's and my little veggie patch is coming along splendidly in spite of ME!

I found the directions to making this type of card somewhere on YouTube, but for the life of me I can't find it again, otherwise I would give the credit for this style of card to the awesome gal who took the time to post the instructions. So, though I changed up my card just a little, the idea is totally the same as hers. Here is the front of my Clear Card stock Front Christmas card.

This card was so much fun!  #3060 Mini Secret Tilda.   The sentiment was stamped with Stazon onto the Clear Card stock.

This is a look at the card from the side to show you how the clear card stock is joined to the top and bottom of the red card stock - after it's embossed!

Here is the inside of my card.  This is #3060 Secret Tilda.  She is stamped on the inside using XpressIt Blending Card (yes for the whole panel).  She was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers.  The background is a blend of Copic greys and Adorondack Lights.  The sentiment again is from AmyR Stamps and the cute little corner is a Magnolia Dookickey Die called Cute Corner.
I hope I've been able to inspire you today.  These cards are really easy and quick to put together.

Many blessings and hugs,
Barb

Little Yellow Birthday Book

Good morning to everyone! It's time for Team A to take up the challenge at Magnolia-licious
Challenge Blog. This time around we want to see "Sunny Yellows". How fun to work with some fabulous spring time colors after such a long and dreary winter. It's been quite a journey, hasn't it?

So let's see what you can do with some sunshine and a Maggie. Speaking of Maggie's, have you seen the latest collection? "Animal of the Year" is the collection and the images are outstanding.

Have you also seen the gorgeous flowers Diana is now carrying in her shop - yum! So head on over and place your order quickly. I'm telling you...these sweeties are going to sell out fast!  And while you're over there check out the sweet Prima Chalk Edgers.  At only $2 each and so many colors to chose from it a steal of a deal.

Well, on with the show, as they say. Here is what I came up with. I created a little booklet of sorts. I didn't have a complete plan to begin with, just a sort of idea. Believe me I had to do a lot of back tracking to get this to work out, but I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

 Firstly...
This is the front of my little booklet.  I created a little bouquet with flowers from my stash  and the adorable Memory Box Mini  Shopping Bag Die to hold my flowers.  The gingham ribbon, DP and CS  and Mini Brads are all from SU. The polka-dot button and Baker's Twine are also from my stash.

A side view of the front shows just how sweet that little Shopping Bag is!

Another view of the front showing the way I affixed the closure.  The hardware is also SU.

Page One.  The Sentiment is from  PrintWorks Collection.  The Muffin is a retired
Mini image.
Page Two.  This  fabulous image, #3073 Edwin and Tilda Dancing
make such a cute couple.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Page Three.  Again the sentiment is computer generated but Tilda is also a retired image.

Page Four, the final page.  Sorry to say this Celebration Tilda is also retired.  They come and go so quickly!  The sentiment is, once again, computer generated.

This was a very fun project to create.  You could make the theme for new baby or anniversary and use whatever images would fit.

Here is a final look at the booklet.  I hope you've enjoyed visiting my blog today.  You are always welcome and your comments are very much appreciated!

So long for now...

Enjoying the journey,
Many Blessings,
Barb

Tuesday DT Challenge - Anything goes

Hello my dear friends! It's the fourth Tuesday of the month and time for the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to launch another challenge.  This time it's "Anything Goes"  Dontcha just love when you can  get super creative and let your Mojo run wild? Have fun...

Have you seen these yet?  They look so awesome and are available at Magnolia-licious.  Get yours now!

*******************************
Prima Chalk Edgers now in stock...great for stamping & inking your projects easily!

So many pretty colors and only $2 each!

Okay, let me show you my card for this challenge...

On the front I used an embossed and cut panel which my friend gave to me.  Actually she gave me several so I'm hoping to use them in future cards.  I've used  #218 Sweet Tilda from the 2010 Raising the Ceiling Collection.  I masked her with #505 Stone Pathway from 2011 Butterfly Dreams Collection.  Both images are available :-)
Here is the inside of my card.  I used one of the new Zodiac Collection  images in the full size.  This is Z6 Virgo Tilda. Hooray!  She is also available :-)

Here is a closer look at Virgo Tilda.

I made a matching envelope for this card.  This is the front.  It's not meant to go through the mail...just handed to the recipient.
This is the back of the envelope.  I love to use a corner punch on the corner of the opening flap.  I needed to add a little something to the back to tuck the opening flap into.
Here is a final artsy view of my card.

What I used to create my card:
Cardstock - SU
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Flowers, ribbon, butterflies, pearls - stash
Dies - Spellbinder Nestabilities Labels One, Classic Circles, Scalloped Circles, Fancy Labels
Punch - Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page
Sentiments - PrintWorks Collection, Inkadinkado

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with me.

Many Blessings,
Enjoying the journey,
Barb

*******************************
Prima Chalk Edgers now in stock...great for stamping & inking your projects easily!
So many pretty colors and only $2 each!

For my project I made a gift set for a very dear friend's birthday. I hope she doesn't visit my blog and see what her gift is.  I've had this made for over a month and it's been hard not to just give it to her ahead of time.  She will get it soon though!

Here is the gift set.  I used flowery designer paper for each item. The set includes:
Tissue Box
Matchbox filled with CHOCOLATE
Hand made paper gift bag
Small bottle filled with Bath salt

Here is the bottle of Bath Salts.  I wrapped the bottle with my designer and then made a pretty label  on the front using #3 Rose Scent Tilda from the Lost and Found Collection 2014.
She is not listed in the shop :-( but I'm sure Diana will do her best to get in back in.
Here is a side view of the bottle.  It's very girly and very frilly.

And here below a view of the lid.

I also made a Mini Tissue Box cover, using the same image but only to the front of the box. I paper pieced the robes on both of the images.

On the top of the tissue box cover I added lots of pearls, flowers and a butterfly.
You can find a tutorial for making this tissue box cover here.

Here is the Gift Bag I made.  I punched to top of it before putting the bag together to fancy it up a little.  The Match Box Treat Box and the Bottle of Bath Salts fit in here perfectly!
The sweet little Match Box open to show the inside (minus the chocolates) and the Belly Band
I made the Belly Band to fit around the the length of the box preventing from the little drawer from opening and spilling it's contents.

Here is my recipe:

DP - MME Blush "Sweet" Lost and Found
CS - SU Rose Red, Blushing Bride and Xpress it Blending card
Image - #3 Rose Scent Tilda from the Lost and Found Collection 2014
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Adirondack Cloudy Blue and Shell Pink, Copic Markers, Distress Ink worn lipstick
Sentiment - SU A Round Array
Dies - Spellbinders Classic Circles and Classis Scalloped Circles, Classic Ovals
Martha Stewart Doubled Sided Lacey Punch
Envelope Punch Board. Gift Bag Punch Board
ScorPal
Zig-Zag label by Martha Stewart
Bottle - from the same sweet friend
Pearls, lacy trim, pink trim, button and flower from my stash
Bath Salts - Michaels $1 Bin
Tiny Brad - SU

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I hope you found inspiration to make something flowery and enter our challenge.

Enjoying the journey,
Many Blessings
Barb

Here is my card.  I decided to make a Shaker card.  I've had the round plastic forms for ever, and just discovered them "again" after tidying up some of my crafting space.

This is the front of my Shaker card, but I changed things up a little.
As you can see here, this is the upper inside panel of my card.  There is a hole in the middle.
I put the Shaker part of the card on the inside bottom panel.  I found some adorable pink heart and stars glitter which I added to the Shaker part.
Here is a side view of my card.  You can see that I've used a feather, some crystals, flowers, pearl sprays, some ribbon and a Ballerina charm.  After I had it all put together I realized that I had nowhere left to write a note or anything. See below what I came up with.
Here is the back of my card.  I used the little bit of star paper I had left to make a small envelope for a 3 x 3 note card.
So here is the little note card I made to put inside the envelope.

Here is a close up this adorable Write A Message Tilda from the Lost and Found Collection (LF07) 2014.  I just love her wink!
This is the inside of the little note card.  I kept it very plain and simple.

Here you go, One last look at my card.

Here is a recipe of all the ingredients that made this card...

CS - SU, Bazzill, Xpress It Blending Card
DP - Magnolia
Ink - Copic Markers, Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Ink worn lipstick,Adirondack Cloudy Blue and Shell Pink, Zig pigment ink pen (05), Sakura White Gel Pen
Stamps - #215 Prima Ballerina,  LF#07 Write a Message Tilda
Sentiment - ? (in my stash)
Dies - Spellbinders heart circles, Classic Circles
Feather, Flowers, Pearls, Crystals, ribbon, charm, corner adorners - stash
Corner Punch on Envelope - Martha Stewart
Adhesives - ScorTape, Craft Bond, Beacon's 3-n-1

Thanks so much to taking the time out of your busy day to stop by and take a look.

Enjoying the journey,
Many blessings,
Barb

Magnolia-licious Tuesday Challenge

Hello everyone, I'm back with my second post of the week.  I have a very special post coming up for Valentines Day, so please drop by on Friday to see what I've done.  Welcome to the Magnolia-licious Tuesday Challenge. Today our theme is "Pretty in Pink" and you can find all the details on the Magnolia-licious blog here

For my entry I created this card using Ribbon Dance Tilda.  You can find this sweet image at the Magnolia-licious store. Right now she is on sale.  I do hope you'll drop by to see all the wonderful "stuff" Diana has there.  She has a rather delightful special running right now.  Order any die or image with the name "HEART" in it and receive 15% on your In Store Credit.

So here we go...

Here is a close up of Tilda.

On the inside top panel of my card I used with tiny  very mini envelope, added some dp a button and a pearl.

Inside the little envelope is a little note.  I stapled some ribbon to the top of it so that you can pull it out of the envelope.
Here is the inside upper panel.  You can see the little envelope tucked into my band.
And here is the salutation panel.
Finally, here is the artistic view of my card.  I made a matching envelope box but didn't take any pictures of that...

Here are the ingredients for my card:

CS - SU and Bazzill
DP - Digital from Bearly Mine Designs (I think because it's been several years and lost the name of the company)
Ink - Momento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, Distress Ink tea dyed
Spellbinders die, mini heart punch
Pearls, buttons, flowers all from my stash
Sentiment on the mini note card - Cuddly Buddly
Adhesives, ScorTape, Beacon's 3 in 1, Art Glitter Designer glue.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me.  Your comments are always appreciated.

Enjoying the journey,
Many blessings,
Barb
