I have to admit that I made this card a few weeks ago. In fact I had made it for the Stamptacular Challenge which was this past Sunday, but with all that's happening in my life I just didn't get it blogged. And, because of all that is happening in my life, I've had to drop my position of the Stamptacular Sunday Design Team. Having the time and energy to get into my crafting room is very iffy right now.
So the challenge was Buttons and Bows and I had colored this Tilda in that first week just after my surgery and needed to get her made into a card. I loved the idea of a bright pink with a sun-shiney yellow , and needed to find some dp to go with her. As luck would have it I had printed out some more of the delicious Digi paper I had purchased from Bearly Mine Designs. It's such beautiful paper. For the two panels on the front, I used some DCWV from the Luxury stack.
Here is my card! I used image #210, Tulle Skirt Tilda from the Wedding Collection. She is available at Magnolia-licious. In fact, Diana has a huge selection to chose from, great prices and fabulous service.
Here is a closer look at Tilda...
I used my Nestabilities for all the circles and Scalloped circles. The Sentiment is from JustRite Stamps. I have machine stitched all my panels and added the strip of lace from my stash. The tiny bows were made with my bow easy using 1/4" Silk ribbon. The buttons are from SU and I used lots of Stardust Stickles for the Tulle part of her skirt.
Here is the inside of the card...
I used my Martha Steward Lacy Edge border punch to frame the panel of dp and added two more buttons and one more tiny bow. The notation portion of the card just repeats the circles on the front, but no dimensional pop dots were used.
I have begun to add a little creativitiy to the backs of my cards also. I purchased several Digi sheets from The Cutting Cafe and simply cut them out with my Nesties and put a scallope circle behind that. I love to use my little peg stamp of a ribbon with a heart hanging. That's kind of my signature I guess. I then sign my name and put the number of that card. Of course I only make one of each card, so it will always be #1 of 1 - giggle!
Thanks so much for stopping by to view my latest creation. Have a blessed day!
Hugs,
Barb
