I'm very slowly getting back into the swing of things after my foot surgery. I'm making some progress, not as fast as I'd like, but progress none the less.
While I was on bedrest I moved a bunch of my stuff into my bedroom so that I could get some images colored while recooperating. This card is made with a Mo's Digital Image that was a freebie. It's called Penelope's Party Wagon and I had such fun coloring her.
Today I was able to be off my foot long enough to pull this card together...
I have no idea what Copics I used to color her with, but obviously lots of bright oranges for the hair! Yikes...I must have been high on pain meds.... :-) The underskirt has Star Dust Stickles to brighten things up and the stars on the dress, the spots on the blower and the inside of the wheels on the wagon were colored with Turquoise Spica Gel pen. The ribbon is Silk Ribbon from my stash and the pink pearls are part of a wonderful package I received from my Secret Stampin' Sister through Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. Thank you Leonie!
I was a little stummped as to what dp I would use to go with her, as I just colored images and had no dp in bed with me to chose from. But I had found a wonderful website called Bearly Mine Designs and purchased Summer Fun and Summer Light's digital paper and printed out this pretty background paper. The mat cardstock is from Gina K and I love it so much.
I didn't make an elaborate card with lots of flowers, one, because I didnt' want to distract from the prettyness of the paper, and two because I'm still not that up to snuff.
Here is a close up of the image...
I kept the inside rather simple also. All panels were stitched on my machine and the sentiment is from Impression Obsession. The punched corners were done with my Martha Stewart corner punch.
Here is a close up of my sentiment panel...
I so appreciate your dropping by for a visit. Your comments make my day...
Hugs,
Barb
Hello Barb, Your card is really pretty! Beautiful papers. I love her orange hair, and the contrast with the softness of the pink and aqua is gorgeous. The BOW is spectacular, I adore. Hope you will recuperate soon, take care.Hugs. Danielle.
