As I promised in my previous post, here is my baby boy card...my just in case it's a boy and not a girl card! Honestly, it would be so much easier on everyone if we all knew the sex of the baby ahead of time. Planning would be so much easier. But, I'm not the one having the baby, I'm just the card maker...heeheehee!
I was hunting around for a sketch to use and I found a card made by Jacque Beddingfield and you can see her card here. I just loved the way she used her double sided paper for this sketch and thought I would give it a try. Anyone who really knows me well, knows that I am no mathematition, so figuring out this card made me sweat buckets, but in the end it turned out reasonably well!
So here is the front of my Baby Boy card using #339 Sleeping Baby Tingla (okay she is really a girl). Both of my images are available from Diana at Magnolia Stamps ...
I took a photo of the side view of the card so that you can see how I peeled my paper back and secured it with FabriTac and Buttons...
Here is a close up look at Sleeping Baby on the front of the card. Actually the panel just slides into the space created when I folded the papers back, but it's attached under the small buttons with dimensional dots...
On the inside of the card I used the one side of the dp and the reverse side also. I created the Lacey Square Panels with my new Spellbinders Nesties. The poem is the first stanza and last stanza of a poem I found online by Joanna Fuchs.
I wanted to add something special to the inside of the card, not just a plain notation panel, so I stamped #119 Alvin to complete the inside panel. He is popped up dimensionals also.
A closer look at baby Alvin...
I'm so enjoying using these JustRite Stampers that I received for my birthday. They just seem to lend themselves well to stitched cards and baby cards alike. So here's is how I finished off the back of my care...

ReplyDeleteYou're braver than I am to do the turned back panels and what a great job you did.
Having Alvin on the inside insures it is a 'boy' card - but I really think a baby is a baby for the new 'Tingla', don't you?
Love your blue DP and buttons. AND love your stamp on the back as I have mentioned before.
I am really sorry to hear you have to have an other operation and sincerely hope it is not a serious one and you bounce back from it quickly. You have had a rough go of it lately....
Big hugs, Candy xoxoxoxo
