Some where, out there.....

A very pleasant Friday to all! I hope you've had a super week and have lots of crafty things to get to this weekend.

We had much needed rain here and cooler temperatures. It was wonderful while it was here, now, back to triple digits and dry, dry, dry!

I so much appreciate those who commented on my last card. I was really feeling blue and your warmth and caring lifted my spirits so much. Thanks!

Our remodel is almost complete. The screens go in today on our porch, and some builders are supposed to come and move our Hot Tub in place for us. The shower door is ready as well as the mirror over our vanity! Woohoo! Now if the tile guy will just come and finish tiling and grouting our shower it will be complete. I can't wait to take some pictures and show them to everyone.

Enough drivel, let's move on to the real purpose of this post. I decided to enter the DP2 Challenge this week. I'm patting myself on the back because I've been doing lots of cleaning and moving stuff back into our bedroom and bathroom. No small task I assure you.

For my entry this week I've chosen Mo's "A Thousand Stars" image. The song "Some where Out there" from one of the Fival movies was humming merrily through my mind the whole time.  The challenge is "Turquoise". I just happened to have some pretty turquoise dp in my stash from Magnolia. Great start! I made an Easel card and here is how it looks when it's closed up and ready to mail...

A closer view of the image and how I colored it. Ya gotta think "Some where out there, beneath the pale blue sky..." or something like that...  When my eldest daughter was little she had a devotional book called "Hello God, it's me Margaret"  I was thinking about that for a title as well, but I figured no one would connect with it.  So I went with the Fival movie theme song.

I don't know about you, but I always struggle to know just how to embellish my cards. So I try all sorts of different embellies before I narrow it down to the final choice. Since I added just a splash of color to my Turquoise card I did the same with my floral arrangement.

Since there wasn't much to this card I took a picture of the left side and the right side. I left the inside just plane white so that I could write a personal message.

I colored this card with my Copics, too many to list now because I used a bunch and didn't keep track. The Star light sentiment is from Create With TLC, the "With God all things are possible" sentiment is from Printworks. Flowers and pearls are from my copious stash and the punches are a mix of SU, SB and Martha Stewart. The panels were stitched with my sewing machine.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving me some love. It really goes a long way. I hope to have those remodel pictures up next week sometime...just waiting on the tile guy! My God richly bless the coming days to you with peace, joy and an abundance of love.
Hugs, Barb
