Jest Thinking of you...

Hi everyone, I hope you had a fabulous Easter.  I'm back with another new card for your viewing pleasure. This time I stepped out of my box and used colors I rarely use, but always admire when others do! I love color, honestly I do, but my style leans toward the softer hues!

So here is how I put the front of the card together. I just used my own sketch (as far as I know) and used three coordinating papers from my stash together. I have used Jester Tilda available now from Diana in her Magnolia-licious shop. This is a darling collection from Sweden called Prince and Princess - just perfect for children theme's, or as you can see I've used this for a "Jest thinking of you" card. Okay, enough waffling, here is my card...

Here is a closer look at this little cutie...

And...a side view of the card...

Now for a peek at the inside of the card...I hope you'll love my sentiment, which I generated on the computer...hehehehe!

That's it for today. I so appreciate your dropping by to visit. Your comments are always so very appreciated and I read every single one of them!

Magnolia-licious Gift Set for Baby!

Happy April Fool's Day! Do we really say that? Oh, well, this new challenge is no foolin' around! This month our very talented Ruby chose a brand new challenge for you! Make a gift set for baby! We hope you'll be using some of the newest images from the Prince and Princess collection available from Diana here! You can check out all the DT projects at Magnolia-licious Highlites blog.

This is such a sweet collection, and so practical too! We all need to have a card ready to welcome a new baby, right! There is also a darling duck and the sweetest little dragon you've ever seen!

For my gift set I made a card and a little gift tote (which holds a travel size of baby powder, shampoo, conditioner and Q-tips). The gift tote was actually a bag of buttons which I purchased at Hobby Lobby a year or so ago. I didn't throw it away knowing it would come in handy some day. I made a shaped card using my Go Kreate die, SB Lacy Circle and Standard Circle, some butterfly die shapes from my friend, rhinestones and pearls from my stash. I also used Magnolia Doohickey Peony Petals and MS Butterfly punch. Of course I colored with Copic markers and paper pieced the baby's clothing. The button and ribbon is from my stash and the sweet heart charm is from Hobby Lobby. CS is SU Pretty in Pink and the dp is from my stash.

So without further ado...here is my gift set...

I have used two images from the new collection. On the card I used #201 Baby Tilda and on the gift bag I used #3047 Tilda with Floating Hearts.

I will show you pictures of the card and bag separately...I paper pieced the baby's dress to match with my dp!

Inside of the card...the sentiments are SU.

Now the gift bag...the front...I used Stardust Stickles on the wings and Spica Pen Pink on the hearts...

The back of the bag...this sentiment is computer generated and die cut using the Magnolia Vintage Heart Tag. The little charm is from my stash. The flower is Magnolia Peony Petals.

Here is a peek at the small items I managed to fit into the gift bag...

Well, this was a bit of a long post as I had lots to show you and describe to you. Thanks for stopping by and I'll be looking forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge.

New LIttle Star...

Today I have a card to share with you that has a specific purpose! I just recently received my Prince and Princess collection images and couldn't wait to use them. They are just adorable! Diana Crick's niece, Sheila, and hubby Wayne just recently had their first baby! A darling little boy and someone else for Diana to spoil rotten! I just had to have the Baby Edwin image so I could send them a congratulation card. You can find this image and many more from this sweet collection here.

I haven't made a Tri Shutter Card for ages, so I decided to make this special baby card...

Here is the front of the card using #115 Baby Edwin and some papers from my stash...

My computer generated sentiments...

I even used some stars for my signature on the back...

So thanks very much for stopping by for a look at my latest creation. I will be back next week with another new card (or two) and some exciting news.....I can't wait to share!
