Hello friends, and welcome to the February Magnolia-licious Blog Hop! This month we're challenging you to use those Mini's and create something with a Spring Theme. All of these Mini's and many more are available from Diana at her Magnolia-licious store.
We could all use a dose of "Global Warming" after this bitter winter many of us have experienced! So come and hop along with us. If you have arrived here from Sharon's blog your headed in the right direction. From here you'll hop on over to Cheryl's blog. If you lose your way please go back to the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog to pick up the order.
Here is what I did with my Mini's...
I was visiting Becca Feeken's blog one day and she had decorated an adorable box from the Michael's $1 bin. She used her Spellbinders to decorate her cards with. They are so elegant, as is everything she does. I contacted her to see if I could 'steal' her idea and she gave me permission. Thank you so much Becca.
I covered the top and sides of my box with some Digi Paper from Bearly Mine Designs and put pink cardstock on the front. I added a bow and some half back pearls from my SU Pretties Kit. I even added a pearl to the little knob that helps hold the box closed.
The lid of the box is a pliable wood so I just propped one of the cards standing up in it so you could see how it opens...
A side view of the box closed. The little band is elastic...
Each enclosure card is 2 3/4" square and fit perfectly inside the box. I made envelopes for the cards, but had a hard time getting the dimensions exact. They are smaller than a 3X3 envelope, but still wouldn't fit inside the box. I then made a belly band for each one so that the envelope was held closed.
Here is #362 Secretive Tilda...
