Happy Birthday!
Happy New Year everyone. I'm wishing you all the very best for 2011! I'm so looking forward to this year, to all the fun things that lie in store and to much better health!
It's the first of the month and time for the Magnolia-licious Highlites sketch challenge. This time around we are challenging you to make a card or project using 4 flowers, 3 different dp's, 2 magnolia images (can use sentiments as one of your images) and 1 ribbon! I'm looking forward to seeing what you can come up with and hope you join in this month long challenge!
I need a birthday card for my sister this month, so I thought #3060 Secret Tilda would be perfect here. She is available at Diana's shop right now and also available in the Mini version (which I used on the inside of the card) I had colored this image quite a while back and had to dig through my stash to find 3 designer papers that would pair well together.
Here is my card...
Here is Tilda up close and personal...
All my panels are sewn on the machine and mounted on SU Elegant Eggplant. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts
I repeated the same paper configuration on the inside of my card and made a little pocket of the bottom panel. Using the Magnolia Vintage Tag and Mini Secret Tilda I added some doodles around the edge of the tag and cut a piece of Vintage Lace using Elegant Eggplant. The sentiment is from JustRite Stampers.
On my notation panel I punched out another piece using the Vintage Lace die from Magnolia to match the pocket and doodled around the writing panel.
Card Recipe:
DP - stash
Cardstock - SU
Ribbon - stash
Chipboard Flourishes - from Suzanne Dean
Purple Stickles - stash
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Bauble - from some gift wrapping I received
Glimmer Mist
Distress Inks - Tattered Rose, Weathered Wood
Copic Markers :
Skin - E000, 0000, 02, 51
Hair - YR24, Y21
Hairband/shirt/pants/socks - BV04, 08, 0000, B60
Present - RV34, 32, 10, C00, 01
Thank you for visiting my blog to see what I've created.
Hugs,
Barb

I love the way you color, how do you get the outline and then a tint of color on their clothing. I love the look you do.
ReplyDeleteWOW! WOW! WOW! Absolutely ravishing card my friend. Barb, this is a winner! I love all about it. The layout offers so much possibilities, and your paper selection is just so harmonious! I'm addicted to swirls, and just love how you placed this one behind the image with the flowers. Love the bow and the charm. I could go one with the inside, which is just as magnificient. The hidden tag with mini tilda is darling.
