Well, my wonderful hubby has done it again! He has surprised me with the most wonderful gift! What could that possibly be you ask? Let me tell you, he should be a professional planner of events.
Over a month ago he began to conspire with Diana Crick about how he might get me to CHA! He knew that it was a closed Craft and Hobby show, no public allowed and he knew that because I had been talking about it for about a year. He would ask me where it was and, well I really didn't know because I knew I would never go so I paid no attention. I just knew that it was a BIG deal in the industry and sigh I couldn't go.
So here's the big deal. On Christmas Eve he asked me if I wanted to open my Christmas present. As he's been out of work since August and is facing more surgery this week, we decided not go exchange gifts this year. AND I was surprised because there was NOTHING under the tree except a few gifts for the grandkids which I had wrapped just the day before. But I had used a few decorative boxes to make the tree look fuller. So he gave me one of those decorative boxes and told me to open it. Inside was a smaller box and when I rattled it sounded like it was broken to bits. I opened that box and inside was a puzzle. He wouldn't tell me what the puzzle was, he just asked me to put it together! Yikes, I had no picture to go by! Finally when the puzzle was half way together and I began to fill in the blanks I realized that it was a flyer about CHA. Here's the completed puzzle...
Don't you know this man of mine would move heaven and earth to give me what I want, so he and Diana found a way to get me to CHA. I'm leaving on January 28th and returning on February 1st and I'll be working in the ScorPal booth! I get to meet Diana, our awesome Magnolia-licious online store owner and also meet several other designers on our team. Suzanne Dean, who is our head designer, woohoo, Janiel, Mindy and Angie, who are the most awesome crafters ever. I'M GOING TO CHA!!!
Big huge thanks for Diana for helping to make this whole trip possible. Her lavish generosity is overwhelming and I have never been on such a fabulous design team - ever! I simply can't wait to get there.
Now I just need some new clothes to wear...everything I have is so OLD!
Also here is another bit of news. We heard from the children today, well actually their mom (but we did talk to each of the twins and to Jordan). They will be here in mid February or shortly there after. So now we really need to childproof our house again and those long forgotten closets need to be cleaned out and room made for them. We need to get the play yard we purchased several months ago put together and I'm telling you my hubby won't be able to help. We're going to have to get some able bodied guys over here to do this for us.
So that's my exciting news and thanks for reading all the way to the end of this post. Your inspiring comments over the past year have helped me through many rough patches in the road.
