Thanks SO much...
Yeah! I've been able to get another card done. Actually this one started out a couple of days ago to be red and green, don't ask me why! I struggled and struggled over how to pull it together, but it was just not coming together for me. So today I scrapped that idea, put that paper away for another day and another card and started over. I restamped Tilda and colored her again, still using the same luscious dark green, but I paired it with Blush Blossom, and I like the results so much better. The sentiment is from a SU retired set called So Many Words and I used my stamp positioner and just inked the phrase I wanted
Here is my Tilda Throwing Heart Rice thank you card...
I colored Tilda a little differently this time. I used E0000, E000, E00, E01 E11 R01 and R20 for her face. Yes, that's a lot of different colors, but I like the way the cheeks blended out much better.
Here is a close-up of Tilda...I tried out my ABS again and I'm getting a little better at it. I used R01 around my Tilda, did lots of practicing before I hit the paper though...
A closer view of my flower arrangement. I went to Michael's today and bought the MS Butterfly Punch. There are three Butterlfies on the punch and the size was just perfect for what I wanted to do.
The inside is very plain. I didn't even finish the top part of this card, because I didn't have enough of the Magnolia dp to complete it. I added the row of pearls on the bottom of the MS Deep Edge Lattice punch just as I did to the front. Each of the Butterflies has a pearl or two also. The little hearts are from a Michael's punch I picked up in the dollar bin and got for 76 cent! Now that's a deal! The sentiment is computer generated.
Thanks for stopping by my blog again! I so appreciate all the wonderful comments that are left for me, it's so very encouraging...hugs...

While I think red and green would have been pretty, this card is exceptionally beautiful. I love soft, lovely, feminine cards, and you have accomplished this magnificently.
ReplyDeleteOh Barb this card is just darling...you inspire me to keep working with my Copic's...since I have all the colours..just afraid to use some of them. The MS punches are great...oop's they are now on my ever growing list. Thanks for sharing your expertise! Until next time..Cheers,Lora Sinkler-Lake

ReplyDeleteyour colours went so well on her face. I don't use copics (yet) but can see that you have really experimented here and succeeded.
