Here is another beautiful image from Mo's Digital Pencil This was so difficult to photograph, to try to catch all the glitter at just the right angle. That's why there's only one photo. You can click on the picture and it brings up a larger image that shows all the detail...it is also my entry to the StampArtic Challenge Blog challenge this week which is a pink Christmas Card.
After getting the image the other day I just knew I had to have some very special paper for her. I went to my LSS and browsed for just the right one (no easy task with two restless 18 month old babies!). This paper by S.E.I is called Lovebirds. All the light scrolls and swirls are glitter. Then I wanted some pretty cardstock to mount it on and bought some Bazzill "Bling" cardstock in a shimmer grey. Once I got my image colored it just needed something to make it pop. Putting the Barely Banana behind the image and then the black made the wings pop out beautifully. Thanks to my friend, Millie, for her valuable input as we shared a crafting day together today.
I painted Stardust stickles on the wings, used clear Spica gel pen on the hem of the dress and the ribbon floating from the dove in flight. The two small doves were stamped twice and one pair cut out, shaded with Copic B0000 and then I added more Clear Spica to them. I then put a dot of Diamond Glaze on the first doves and gently placed the second set on that to pop them up just a tad.
The stitching around the pink panel is the only embellishment I used on this card. I thought that the image needed to stand alone and that the glitter was enough bling.
Here are the Copics that I used for this project...
Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate your words of encouragement...
