Anniversary card for an awesome couple...
I've been working frantically for the past few days, not on my Advent Calendar, but rather on an Anniversary card for friends of ours whom we've known almost all our married lives. We call them "The Others" because they are also a Bill and Barb couple.
I just didn't have an image that I thought was really appropriate for an anniversary, until I remembered that Mo, at Mo's Digital Pencil has just the perfect image. It is called 'Jack and Ginger'. Well the couple I'm sending this to aren't quite THIS old, but it's a sweet image and I loved coloring it.
I made this one an Easel Card - they are sooooo fun to do - and it is also this week's entry to Crazy 4 Challenges challenge blog.
Here is a side view of the card...
I love to put flowers on my cards as well as charms. I didn't have a charm suitable for this card so I used one of my large roses (so precious to me and I guard them carefully) and surrounded it with smaller roses, MS Branch punch as well as Leaf punch and everything was glimmered up with Bronze and Pearl Shimmer Mist (love that stuff).
This one is ready to go into the mail, but I'm going to wait for my new envelope box template, which I have just ordered, to arrive. The new template will make a box which is 6X6 and is 3/4" deep, so it will accomodate my embellishments.
The pretty glittery Tulle is from my friend Millie, who just inspires and encourages me so much. Thanks Millie for your generous heart and dear friendship.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my lastest creation. Your comments always make my day and inspire me to go just one step farther into my creativity. :-)
