Tri-Shutter Tilda

The other night, I saw an awesome card made by Norma called a Tri-Shutter card. Her card is just amazing and I thought I would challenge myself to trying one. She gave a link on her blog for directions to make it. Check the directions here. Actually the card is easy-peasy to make. This is what it looks like when it's open and standing:

Isn't that cool? Here is what it looks like when it's closed. It's an A2 size and fits a regular envelope...

When you flatten it out it will look like this.

Here's a view from the top looking down:

I searched high and low through all my stamps to find a sentiment that would take up the middle section. Nothing! So I computer generated one, matching the color and selecting a rather elegant font. It says "Have I told you lately that I love you?" I thought the Shabby Chic Tilda I chose for the front looked a little sad somehow. This is the only phrase I could think of at the time. So to answer that question I chose Giggling Tilda, and wrote "Oh! Silly me! Of course I have. I love you..." I am sending this to a very dear friend in Canada, whom I haven't seen in years, but love very much.

The papers are from My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus collection. They matched up beautifully with now retiring In Color, Baja Breeze, from SU. Sure sorry to see that collection go! The green cardstock used for the card base is from my stash purchased at HL. .

Here are the Copics I used to make this card:

I hope you will be inspired to give this Tri-Shutter card a try, it truly is easy. Thanks so much for dropping in for a visit and leaving an encouraging word or two.
