Thinking of You Standing Shape Card

Hello fellow Maggie lovers.
I'ts Hump Day and I have a new card to show you. I saw this tutorial at Splitcoaststamper, and thought I should give it a try. I learned quite a bit doing this card. The first thing I learned is don's make your shapes too heavy otherwise they don't stand straight up!

This is the front of my card.  The sentiment is SU, the flowers are from my stash.  The Scalloped Lace die is from Memory Box.

This is so cool!  When you open your card up the front and back actually lie flat and your shapes, attached to strips of acetate/clear cardstock stand up in the middle.  I decided to finish the entire inside of my card.  This top inside makes a wonderful background for my standing shapes.  This sentiment is from Hobby Lobby and is a PrintWorksCollection stamp. I used Spellbinders Fancy Labels to set it on.  The sun was made by using Spellbinders Stars dies.  One in SU Pumpkin Pie and the other, off set a little is Summer Sun.  The sentiment used in the center of the sun is a digital from The Stamping Cafe.  The butterflies are from a stash a friend cut for me about a year ago.

The sweet Tilda image is #3107 Unsunny Sky Tilda from the Sea Breeze Collection.  This is a fabulous collection which was released in 2013.  If your interested in any images from this collection and all collections please pop on over to Diana's shop.  Her selection is fabulous and you'll find everything you need to make cards or scrapbook pages!

Here is another view of the parts that stand up.

Here is a side view of the card.  You can see across the top that the card is not flat.
Well that's all I have for you today.  I'm so grateful that you take the time to visit my blog and your comments are always welcome.

Enjoying the journey
Many blessings to you
Barb
