Dr. Monday M.D. - Off with the Mask!

A most happy Monday to all!
I have scheduled this post weeks in advance as we're busy, busy, busy with Jordan, Josslyn and Brielle. If you remember, these are the children we cared for during two deployments to Afghanistan of both parents. What a delight to have them here again!
 But...on with the show...
I made this card at the request of Diana to do a Masking Tutorial. It had been ages since I had done any masking, but this came together so beautifully. I also joined the Magnolia-licious Mingles group and chose to send this card to my partner for June. As she has received it, I am free to post the card now. I will be posting the tutorial I created after Diana has given me the go ahead.

Here is a closer look at the images I masked and the coloring, down with Copics

My card measures 4 5/8" X 4 5/8".  The DP is new from Magnolia as are the flowers, grass stems and large green leaf in the background.  Images are: #280 Tilda with Striped Tights, #631 Summer Background and #504 Stone Wall with Pillar.
I can't remember who did the sentiment.  I've also used Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Ovals, and Fancy labels.  The Silver Corner pieces are from my very dear friend, Paola, in S. Africa.  The small roses are from my stash.

The finished inside also using some of the newest Magnolia DP.  The sentiment here is from Stampabilities purchased at Hobby Lobby

Here is a close up of the sentiment.

Well, my dear crafters, I've some to the end of this post.  I hope you'll give masking a try.  The effects can be very rewarding.

Enjoying the journey,
Many blessings to you,
Barb

  1. How wonderful the kids are with you again! I imagine you are thrilled! And they aren't as needy this time around... How old are they now? Hope you will post pictures. Are they there for an extended visit or just a short time? Oh and I loved your card! Great job :)

  8. Lovely card. Tilda looks so sweet sitting on the stone wall in front of the rainbow. Nice to see some of the older Tildas again.
