Hello my dears...here we are at almost the end of another week. I've accomplished quite a bit this week as far as card making goes. Perhaps the biggest reason is that I can't get to my "stuff" in my sewing room, as it has become hubby's closet while we await the completion of our bedroom and new bathroom. I think we're still a few weeks out from completion. No one ever said it would take 6 months before we could move back into our space. SIGH! Ah well, it will be worth it in the end and I certainly can't wait to see it come to an end.
So I've managed to get another card or two ready. My goal is to make an individual card for each couple that we shared dinner with every night for three weeks and for the sweet couples that insisted that they provide transportation and meals (and even a night over) when we arrived back to the good ole US of A. So all in all I will need 7 cards! Yikes! That's a big step for a gal who hasn't been able to make a card in too many months to count.
This week, I have joined in with Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog again. The theme is "Thank You". Couldn't have been more timely. I have used the image "Alisa with Roses" for my card and some paper I found at the bottom of my paper stash. No tellin' where it came from or how long it's been in the heap! I liked the color combination well enough to decide to use it.
Here is the front of my card. If you are looking for details on my card, I have none. My markers were askew all over my table as were different dies and various embellies. I'm still working on honing my coloring skills. I added the little parrot charm for no good reason at all. The card just needed something! So here we have the card front...

I tucked a little Magnolia Heart Tag in behind my image panel. The sentiment is a portion of a SU set called "God's Blessings".
And finally, how I finished the inside...
Many thanks for following my progress as I jump back into my passion.
Please come back again next week to see the other card I've managed to assemble.
God's blessings and big hugs,
Barb

Barb, I agree with Danielle. I was just going to say the same thing that you haven't lost your touch. A gorgeous card with this sweet image of Mo's beautifully coloured. Love the design and that Spellbinders die is one of my faves. Your travelling couple will be so happy to receive this from you.
