Today I have a new card to show you. This darling image is a digi from Silvia Zet who designs for Wee Stamps and is called Rosies Bike Ride! Isn't she just so sweet? I had a bit of a problem with the ink from my printer smearing, but I refused to throw her out and just forged ahead anyway. It's not easy to see where the smearing is. It's the first time I've had a problem with it.
I used Basic Grey "Capella" dp for my backgrounds and Bazzill Chocolate Brown for my contrasting card stock. The image is printed on Cryogen white. I don't remember where I got the sketch from as I search many challenge sites and go back sometimes several months before I find a sketch I really like!
So here is my card:
Here is a closer look at the image...
A couple of artistic views...
And finally, how I finished the inside of my card...
I used the following Copic Markers:
Skin - E00, 000, 0000, 11 and Chalk for the cheeks
Hair - E34, Y26, 32 and Blender pen
Roses - R81, 83, 85
Leaves - G24
Dress - BG72, 93 and Turquoise Spica Pen
Bike/Basket - C01, 00, BG72, E34, 35, 53
All flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, sprayed with Perfect Pearls Mist
Corner adorners are cut ends of SB Fancy Labels Dies
Rhinestones - stash
Ribbon - Silk from stash, Chocolate Seam binding and Chocolate and white Bakers twine
Sewing Machine and thread
Sentiment - SU
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and encouraging me with your valued comments.
Blessing and hugs,
Barb

Oh my gosh, Barb! I just finished the Wee Stamps blog hop... you should have been included!! This little darling is just that, darling!! I looked and looked and can't see any smearing!! LOL!! Colored to perfection, as usual!! I just love the way you did the ribbon on this, inside and out!! Just beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Teri
OOOOOO so beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh so adorable.
ReplyDeleteOh Barb, she's precious. I have one of Silvia Zet's digis too--her first one of the girl with the flower pot. I have the same problem with the smearing. Tried changing inks and printing 'draft', but no better. Me think I need a new printer...LOL...or get the rubber stamps.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fab job on this card. Love the colours and the design. Gorgeous DP's. Love the corners--I must look through my dies and see what I can use as corners too. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hugs,
Norma

ReplyDeleteBarb,
ReplyDeleteThis "Rosie" image is just the sweetest thing. I can see why you didn't give up. I have never used digis and am so afraid of smeared ink. BUT I could not find yours, so you did a wonderful job distracting my eye!!!! I love the soft colors and the corners are a perfect contrasting element. You leave just enough negative space that I do not feel my eyes are over whelmed with layers and stuff to look at. You are truly a card crafts woman! Great work.
Love, Martha
