My Magnolia Down Under Challenge card...

I saw some fabulous cards at the Magnolia Down Under Challenge blog recently and decided to give their sketch a try. This card really came together quickly. I pulled some long retired SU dp out of my stash and worked all my layers before I even began to color this sweet fall image.

There is no fall in the air here in Central Texas, just more triple digit temperatures and more fires popping up all over the place. Sheesh, enough already!

It's also been pretty hot here at my house, well, I mean to say the whole family was sick today. Jordan didn't even make it past his applesauce this morning before he began throwing up, and the girls, who have been off their food for a few days got the trots, except that their still in pullups, and it was a marathon for me with three kids running to the bathroom. On top of that, hubby is down with the same thing. Thanks goodness I'm feeling better from my cold, but still having some sinus problems. So anyway back to my card...

This little image is #3064 TILDA IN AUTUMN LEAVES and she is available at Diana's Magnolia-licious shop. She is also available in the Mini version.

Here is the front view of the card I made. Please take note of the fabulous Banner Pennant's, which I just recently received in the mail, a gift from my friend Sharon Caudle! What a fabulous surprise I found in my mail box the other day...thank you so VERY much Sharon...

Here is a close up of Tilda and how she is colored. The sky was done with distress inks broken china and weathered wood. All the rest of the image was colored with Copic Markers.

A side view of the card...

In case you didn't notice there is a little tag tucked in behind the third panel. The sentiment is one I've had for years and don't really remember where it comes from...

To finish off the inside of the card I repeated the Banner Pennants and it still left plenty of room to add a personal note.

This is my second post for the day...I really wanted to enter into the challenge and not be too late with it.

Thanks for stopping by again, your visit is much appreciated!

Hugs,
Barb

  20. Barb, This is just fantastic! Tilda is colored perfectly rolling in those leaves and all the elements of the card come together beautifully. I love the pullout message tag! I will need to try that technique.

I hope and pray everyone is on the mend as I write this. Your plate is sooo full with Bills needs, the children, them all being sick on top of everything, and you are able to send us all some "beauty" to admire. You truly are amazing! And don't you forget it!

    Love and blessings, Martha
