I have really enjoyed seeing all the wonderful tag cards that are floating around in cyberspace. So when Diana asked her DT if someone could craft a card for her new grandson, I thought I just might be able to get it in before the children arrive.
This was a more difficult challenge than I thought it would be, only in the fact that I find it so hard to design cards that are masculine. Everyone knows how much I love the girly embellishments of bows, flowers and ribbon. So after a couple of days of procrastination I got down to business...
So here is my version of the "Tag Card". I don't know where this originated but I first saw it on Claudia Rosa's blog here.
I have used #103 Baseball Edwin and he is available from Diana here.
Here is a close up of Edwin...colored on Cryogen White card stock...
The inside of the card was a decided challenge, so I decided to use my Nesties heart shape to put the baby's name, birthdate and weight on. The bottom of the card uses Sisslets Corner dies so that they can place a photo of the baby behind each corner.
Card Recipe:
Card stock - Cryogen White, Xpedex Brilliant White, SU Brocade Blue
DP - 3 Bugs in a Rug Animal Stackers double sided
Copic Markers:
Skin - E0000,000,00,02,11, R20,22
Hair - Y23, YR14, 24
Hat/Shirt/Shoes - G20,21,24,25 C1,3,5,7,9
Pants - B34,93,95,97 Blender Pen
Button - Stash
Sentiment - The Cutting Cafe
Crafter's Floss - stash
Spellbinder's Nestabilites - Long Rectangles, Long Rectangles Scalloped, Classic Hearts, Scalloped Hearts, Classic Petite Circles, Petite Circles Scalloped
Cuttlebug Corner Dies
Thank you for visiting my blog. I always appreciate your visit!
Hugs,
Barb
