Gingerbread...my favorite!

Oh, isn't this 2010 Christmas Collection just precious! As soon as I saw this sweetie, #3067 Gingerbread Tilda available from Diana here, I knew exactly what I was going to do with her. Last month, just after surgery, I got busy and stitched several cards in preparation for my order to arrive. So I chose the colors of the stitching on this card specifically for Gingerbread Tilda. I have to say that I love the flavor of Ginger anything - even Ginger Ale! I wanted to get inspired during the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday to make some delicious ginger cookies (the recipe which I've had for over 30 years and is from my dearest friend in Canada, Irene) But, I'm still not healed the way I would like to be and had to let that idea slide by while I spent time with my precious family.

So enough about that, let's get on to the card. Here is the front - and by the way this is a Christmas card which I will be sending out to someone!!!!

My Card Recipe:

Cardstock - Bazzill and SU
DP - Creative Imaginations
Copic Sketch Markers:
Skin - E00, E000, E0000 Chalk for cheeks
Hair - C7, C5, C3, C1
Hat/Pants - E18, E17, E19, E15, E13 Y15
Blouse - BG32, BG49, BG10
Basket - E30, E31, E33
Hearts - R89, R08
Flowers - All from Wild Orchid Crafts
Glimmer Mist
Rhinestones - stash
Nestabilities - Circles and Scalloped Circles, and Ovals/Scalloped ovals,
SU Slit Punch,
Sentiment - Computer generated borrowed from SU
Vingate Tag - Magnolia
Distress Ink for sponging
Machine embroidery Thread
Pop dots and ScorTape

Now here is a closer look at this darling Tilda...

On the inside I used the same Slit punch for each panel (notice I didn't stitch any of the panels on this card!!!) and I used the Nestabilities popping the sentiment up on pop dots. All my flowers and punched leaves are glimmered up with Pearl Glimmer mist and as you can see I've added a ton of rhinestones to my card.

Here is the sentiment panel up close...

I added another little Tilda to my notation panel...

I just had to find a way to use my new Vintage Tag die. So I stamped my siggy on to a piece of cardstock, distressed the edges and added the little circle cut from some matching designer paper...

I'd love to know what you think of my latest creation...
Blessings and hugs,
Barb

I love all of it, the colors are warm and rich, the embroidery is fabuluous, you have colored Tilda magnificiently, most of all with black hair... I love her with black hair. When I received my kit, she did not inspire me at all, after seeing a few cards with her I started getting some ideas. And your card is formidable!!!
