Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying all the preparations for Christmas. I've experienced a whole gamut of emotions from panic to happiness. It's always a stressful season for most of us. My shopping is complete and I just have a few items to bake so now I'm back in my studio for some fun.
Diana at Magnolia-licious, has asked the DT to make a couple of ornaments for her to take to CHA in January. It is for her display of the new Magnolia Mini's! All of these images are available at her shop and I was so please to work on these ornaments. All of my ornaments are hanging from a decorative mesh tree I have up in my home.
The first ornament I found to work on is the word "JOY". It came already to hang so all I had to do was put #3065 Angel Tilda Tilda in the "O". I used the same sized circle behind the image and popped Tilda up on that circle. This one was very easy...
My next ornament is make from a Crystal Snowflake. I used #3015 Sparkling Tilda and put some mini tree ornaments behind her. The snowflakes and the Candy Canes were all glued on with Fabri-Tac. The ribbon is from my stash.
My last ornament is a Chandelier Charm which had a black ornate scroll pattern on the back. It magnifies through the prism. It took me quite a while and lots of elbow grease to get that gunk off, but finally it was clean and I used #3038 Tilda with handing star for this one. I had to carefully cut my cardstock off on the back to fit the scallops. Then I covered it with a piece of pink dp and added stickles to hide up the edges (no pictures of the back). I added the pink swiss dot ribbon from my stash to finish off the top.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog today and see what I have done with a few more of these darling Mini's.
Blessings and Hugs,
Barb

Barb,
ReplyDeleteThese ornaments are just spectacular! You have such a keen eye for picking objects that can be altered or embellished and decorated (I remember the cookie sheet and all the lovely little decorated tins and also the advent cabinet with drawers that was so cute! Would love to try using some of these minis with my grand daughters at some point. They love decorating little things. Matti has already made a card for her grandpa's BD the end of Dec.
Be blessed and thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas.
Love, Martha
