Stitching Card Pattern - Princess Tilda

I have been so impressed with the Stitched cards done by one of the members of the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group, that I wanted to give it a try myself. Regina sent me several patterns, unfortunately they don't work with my photo software, but she sent me numerous links and I found several of them very useful. I downloaded a couple of free patterns and gave it a try.

Here is my very first effort and I used Princess Tilda #283 available here...

Card Recipe:

Card stock - Very Vanilla, Brocade Blue
Thread - Mettler Metalic
Copic Markers:
Skin - E00, E000, E0000, Chalk on the cheeks
Hair - E41, E42, E43
Dress and Socks - B93, B21
Shoes - E41, E42, E43
Shadow - N1, N3, N5
StarDust Stickles
Spica Gel Pens - Pink, Gold, Mellon
Memento In - London Fog

I think my holes are too large, and I will be looking for a proper tool to mark my pattern with...

Here is a close up of Tilda....

I have ordered some patterns from a company in England and hope soon to have them in my hands. I found the stitching to be a most restful pastime and I love the outcome. I hope you also will enjoy seeing what I have done. (I also stitched a butterfly pattern - no Tilda - but haven't made that into a card yet!)

  1. Hi Barb, Lovely "stitchn' goin' on here! Very simple and elegant and I love the colors. I recently came across some tools for Pergamano and Paper piercing. The paper piercing styluses come in a variety of thicknesses to the piercing needle. You can get them very fine or larger and with many needles in simple designs. Many gals who do embroidery on their cards use them. I got mine from Patsicrafts in England and would send the address if you'd like. I found her on ebay and she is very nice, helpful and has decent prices for SH. Let me know .

    Love and hugs, Martha

I think the same as you. Stitching is the best way to relax!!!:))) I do mine in front of TV (LOL) as well as my quilling work!!!
For prick the holes I always use a needle that is the same size of the one you´re going to do the embroidery.
Have a wonderful Sunday!!! and keep embroidering and stamping!!!!! (LOL)
    Love and hugs

  7. If you feel that your holes are to big. Then after you finish turn it over and take a sppoon and flatten the holes with the spoon part.

Nice job..also there is a store called ecstacy crafts who has all the tools for pergamano..I use their fine needle to poke my holes. He is located in Niagara falls area and ships to uusa and canada.
