Friday Sketcher Challenge 94 - Just for You

Today has been a very busy day. With the Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop behind me I started to work on a card with a new hAnglar image that was so generously sent to me. I had colored her last night but I needed to find a sketch to follow. So I turned to Friday Sketcher's Challenge blog and, voila, there was a sketch. Actually the challenge ends tonight so I might make it and I might not.

Here is the sketch...

I used the Out of the Box technique to cut out the frame around my image. I love this technique as it allows you to use a smaller Nestability shape and have a portion of your image coming outside the shape. However when I was cutting around the image I accidently cut a little too far around her foot. YIKES! What was I going to do so save my card. I surely didn't want to through this darling one out Thank goodness for flowers!

Here is my card...

Isnt' she adorable? I so wish these stamps were available in the USA. Only Sweden, Norway and Finland. You just have to know someone who knows someone who lives in those countries so they can order them for you. Arghhh! Or find someone who already has them and ask them to stamp you off a few. All the panels were stitched on my machine and then sponged with Versa Magic Sahara Sand Chalk ink.

Here is a close up of this image - I haven't got a name for her...

She is colored completely with Copic Markers except for her cheeks. I used chalk for the first time and I love the softer effect it achieves.

Here are the flowers that saved my card...

Once the outside of the card was completed I attacked the inside. My main difficulty was that I had pulled some dp from my scrap bin to make this card, and I only had small pieces of each pattern. The one I had the most of was the rose floral. So I only had enough of that left to do the inside with.

Here is the inside of my card...

For the upper part of the card I used a SU stamp set called Oval All, then used my Nestabilites Dies to repeat the same shape as the outside of the card. The stamp has tiny stars all around the oval which I covered with tiny pearls to repeat the pearl theme.

Here's a closer view of that stamped image...

I know many of you like to know what Copic Markers were used to color the image with. Here are all that I used, sitting beside the card...

Thanks for stopping in to see my latest creation...
