Christmas All Year Round...

And why not? I decided that it would be a great idea to continue to make Christmas cards along with my usual birthday, thank you and get well cards and challenge cards! I have enough Christmas images from Diana's wonderful store Magnolia-licious to keep me going for months. And who says you can't use an image more than once?

So here's my first card. I've been working on this card for about two weeks. As the twins continue to get into more trouble each day, taking things like scissors (that's a safe toy, right?) tape and even the paper I'm working with off my desk, or pulling out plugs, or opening the drawers where I keep my embellishments and over the past few day, pulling my ribbon off the spools - well you get the picture - I just don't seem to be able to get much card making done. The only time I have to get anything done is when they're asleep. Sometimes just keeping up with computer stuff takes a whole nap time, and when it's bed time at night, I'm usually done in.

I love Snowmen! And Magnolia has the cutest ones anywhere, so I decided to use one of my newest images and make my card from her. On a trip to my LSS, I found this delightful double sided paper from Graphic 45 Christmas Past Collection called Carol of the Bells, (one of my favorite all time Christmas songs!) so I've been humming the music for days. The snowflakes and branches are both M.S. punches and I sprayed them plus the mini roses with glimmer mist. I added gold pearls to the center of two of the snowflakes and to each corner of the card. I tied a small piece of gold cord through my sentiment to make a bow.

I colored him with Copic Markers and uses some stickles to give him a little sparkle. I also added some Liquid applique to the ear muffs and around his cute little jacket. I used Gold Spica Gel Pen on the, er, gong thingies, of the bells! That's technical, right? The sketch is an older one from Friday Sketchers Challenge. I used Gold Leafing pen around each square. The Merry Christmas sentiment is also from Magnolia.

Here is how I finished off the inside of the card...I used another Magnolia image, the Bell to repeat the bell theme of the paper. I used my Nestabilities Standard Large Circle and Scalloped circle to showcase the bell. On the opposite side I used my Martha Stewart Flourish Punch for one side, punched two small holes and threaded gold cord to tie the bow.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog to see my latest creation!
