Jolly Tilda Birthday Card...

Hi everyone, and Happy New Year! Only hours to go before we begin a whole new year. Good grief! Where do the years go? Wasn't it just last year that we were all concerned with Y2K? Wasn't it just last year that our nation was attacked by Terrorists and we pulled together as One Nation Under God? Wasn't it just yesterday that the children came to live with us while their parents both served over in the Middle East? The time has flown by so quickly.

This is my final card for 2009. I can't believe that I've even had the time to get her done, but I really wanted to partake in the Friday Sketcher's Challenge, which is open until January 8th, and I also wanted to get one more card done this year! I need a birthday card for someone very dear to me who has a January birthday. And, ohhhhh, I really wanted to use at least one of my newest images from Magnolia-licious - even though it's meant to be a Christmas image - (I have used two images) so here goes.

This is the sketch which I have followed:

I took a little artistic liberty with this card and used the sketch rather loosely.
Since it's a birthday card I wanted to use something other than Christmas colors, and I thought this image was perfect for a winter birthday. I love the pink and brown together and dug through my stash to find something I thought would be suitable.

My images are colored with Copic Markers and I used my ABS-1 on the background. I was so nervous about using it as I didn't want to ruin my already colored images.

The inside is really rather simple. I had just a small piece of the yummy ribbon from Magnolia-licious left over and had just enough left to make a bow. The button is also from Magnolia-licious.

Here are the Copics that I used on this card:

Card Recipe:

Cardstock - SU
Papers - My Mind's Eye
Ribbon & Button - SU and Magnolia-licious
Flowers - Michael's
Sentiment - Justrite Stampers
Tulle - stash
Nestabilities Dies
Martha Stewart Flourish Punch
Sookwang adhesive and pop dots

Thanks for stopping by for a visit of my entry into the challenge/birthday card.

I wish you all the best in the New Year...
