I worked for a few days just to get this card front finished. The inside and envelope will follow at a later time. So, this weeks sketch is a delightful layout created by the lovely Beatrix. Here is her layout:
The DT did a marvelous job of show their fabulous samples. Now, on this card I started out with an entirely different image and It just wasn't coming together, so I scratched that entire thought and decided instead to use Blueberry Tilda from the latest Something Yummy for your Tummy collection. As you can see there isn't a blueberry anywhere in site on my card. Since this is Autumn I made the blueberries into nuts - doesn't matter what kind, whatever works for your area. Here they are Pecans...
We have 7 Pecan trees in our yard and every other year they yield much more than a basket full. Ugh! We loose so many to the squirrels and I guess that's good!
Here is a close up of sweet, nutty, Tilda!
The sketch called for flowers on the left side of the card and I did that, but I also added a smaller spray on the right side just to give some balance to the card...
Here's what I did with the inside:
the whole entire card is priceless and love how you made nuts from blueberries. Sandi

Your card is BEAUTIFUL!! What a creative idea to change the blueberries to pecans - it's perfect. I don't think you really need the Copics class - your coloring is awesome, although I'm sure you'll have an awesome time!
ReplyDeleteWowwwwww, Barb, your card is absolutely gorgeous. You colored Tilda to perfection. Breathtaking!! Hugs, Christina
ReplyDeleteYour card is absolutely stunning. I love all the rich colors and your take on the card sketch is great. I love those little flowers. Personally I think that they should just give you the certificate of Copic certified without you having to take the class because your work is just extrodinary but then I guess you would miss the fun. It's so much fun to get to hang with other Copic fans. Your work is just wonderful. I look forward to seeing more.
