Blogger's Challenge #102 - Summer

Can you believe it? We've passed the 100 mark and are now on 102! I know I've had to sit out many months, while we got the parenting of three children under the age of three under our belts, but for now I have time to get involved again. Heaven help us when the babies start to crawl :)

This week's challenge was to do a summer theme. When I think about summer I think popsicles and my favorite flavor is orange. So, even though working with bright colors is not my strong suit, I broke away from the norm and played with this card.

As you can see from all my latest posts, I'm really into Magnolia images. They are very cute, and just seem to be where I am right now. I'm loving developing my skills with Copic Markers and have accumulated a fair collection. But, on to the card.

It all started with the striped dp which I purchased at HL last week. Then the fun began as I tried to bring together the colors in the paper. I also love this new ribbon I also purchased from HL and wanted to bring that into the picture.

This is a closer view of Tilda:

Here is my recipe:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Pixie Pink, Bazzill very light creamy green, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Memento Texedo Black
Accessories: Copic Markers, Nestabilities, HL Ribbon, buttons (unknown), dimensionals and 1/8" pop dots, MS Lace edge punch, White gel pen, Stickles on the wings.

Please check out the Blogger Challenge button in my sidebar and see what the others Blogger Challenge gals came up with.
