Saying good bye to Mom...

Hi Mommy, I'm Brielle...
Hi Mommy, I'm Josslyn...
Oh, Mommy, we are feeling a little bit sad that you are going to leave the country tomorrow and fly in a big jet and go to a far away land. Grammie and Grampie tell us every day about how much you love us and how much you miss us. We really love getting on the computer every night and talking to you via the phone. We get to see your pretty face which is still so familiar to us.
Do you know what we did today? Josslyn rolled over from her tummy to her back, but I just cried because I don't like being on my tummy. Grammie made a big deal about it so maybe next time I'll give it a try. I don't want Josslyn to get all the praise, you know!

Know what else we did? Grammie took us to Toys R Us and we shopped! We did really well for a while, but then we got a little fussy. I guess we don't understand what the big deal is about going shopping. Even though Grammie bought us each 2 new outfits, it was kind of boring looking up at the bottoms of all the clothes. When we got in line there were so many people and Grammie wasn't very happy with how long it was taking. Instead of doing more shopping we came home and had lunch. Then Grammie put us in our Jumperoos so we could get our exercise before nap time.
And guess what else! We both slept through the night last night. Grammie got up once to give Brielle her 'gug' (pacifier) and Grampie got up around 5:00 AM to give Josslyn hers, and then we both woke up at 6:30. We did good didn't we mommy? Grammie said she was very happy with us for finally sleeping for such a long stretch! I guess we're both feeling a lot better and can breath better now.

It's not the same without you and Daddy here, but Grammie and Grampie are loving us once for you and once for themselves. I guess that means we're twice loved! We are happy here with Grammie and Grampie but we are sure hoping that our year goes quickly and we can be all a family again.
