It's been a very busy week getting ready for the kids. Although our nursery is already established, we switched all the bedding out to Josslyn and Brielle's own very pink stuff. I changed the window toppers to match better (good thing I still had these on hand). All the furniture was already in the room except for the glider. That belongs to the girls and the glider we had in the nursery we moved to Jordy's room. It fit better in there! I've gone through the toy boxes and sorted out thousands of tiny pieces and put everything back with it's original box (like shapes and Lego's). I've hung up clothes put the rest in drawers. Everything is arranged and ready for the kiddos to arrive. Here are some pictures of their rooms...
The nursery is a very large room and we have room to put up a single bed. The quilt on this bed I made some years ago.
My wonderful hubby painted and painted and edged and trimmed. I didn't wield a paintbrush, not once! This is Jordan's room and it has gone from pink and white girly girly to a blue and yellow Dinosaur boy room. We still don't have anything up on the walls, and the room looks pretty empty because I have put the majority of toys in the closet. I know it won't last much past 5 minutes after he arrives. His clothing is all neatly put away, and I don't kid myself about that staying the same either. I think we're ready for our tornado to arrive!
Yup! Looks like you are ready....let's hope! Cause life is going to be hectic for awhile.
ReplyDeleteWow Barb! This is like the baby Hilton. I love the dinos. I know that Jordy will too. I know that you won't have a ton of time, but do blog often!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are more then ready to me too, but soon you wont find that floor. It will be so fun and so crazy and I just know you can't wait!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a transformation of the rooms and that is wonderful that you are fixing up the rooms to make them feel so at home (which I'm sure they already will be).
ReplyDeleteBarb, these little ones are totally blessed to have you and hubby in their lives! They're going to feel incredibly loved while they're with you -- both your love and God's love. You'll remain in my prayers!
