Sun, Sea and Sand Challenge

Hello, ciao amici.
I'm back with another Tuesday challenge.  This time our challenge is Sun, Sea, Sand.  The DT have been busy behind the scenes creating some awesome projects.  We hope you'll join in the fun and show us your delightful creations.

Before I go on, let me brag on Diana's wonderful online store, Magnolia-licious™.  She has a most outstanding array of stamps, dies, supplies, paper and flowers.

Also,
We would love to hear from you so leave a comment
on the challenge blog or the DT blogs this
week for a chance to win a
surprise from Magnolia-licious.

Well I got over ambitious for this challenge and made two cards.  I've used the same sweet image on each card, but totally different backgrounds and sizes.  So, here is my  FIRST card for this challenge...

This one is an A2 sized card and kept it Clean And Simple (CAS) card.  I've used #213 Summer Beach Tilda and colored her with Copics.  The little flip flop is a die from the Magnolia Doohickey Club Volume ! Collection.  With summer upon us, I've been using a number of these dies on other projects.

Here is sweet Tilda up close.  I got the color for her bathing suit by combining some BG, B and Y copics.  It was an experiment, but I like the way it turned out.

I used a blue flip flop on the inside salutation panel.  The little flowers are from a Punch Bunch punch.

On the back of my card I added my signature stamp inked with rainbow ink and I added the little anchor die as well.  I also used some complimentary paper on the flap on the envelope.

Now here is the SECOND card I made...

As you can see Tilda is in an entirely different environment!  I've used lots more dies from the first Doohickey Die Collection, and added two sweet charms to the ribbon.  Those are from my stash.  I used a little more yellow in Tilda's bathing suit and I love how this turned out.

A closer look at the image, where I gave her some polk-a-dots and darker hair.

The upper panel of the inside.  More Doohickey Dies and the sentiment is from Create TLC.

The salutation panel.  More Doohickey dies.  I kind of buried the sea weed behind the Jelly Fish...sheesh...

Thanks for stopping by today.  Please be sure to stop by the other DT's blogs and leave a comment for a chance to win a delightful give-away from Diana.

Ciao, Ciao, amici

  6. Love both of these cards. Your Tildas are so beautifully colored! I love the dies. I haven't opened up that DooHickey club package yet and seeing how adorable these cards are, I'm wondering why.
