Hi guys! This is a little late but Merry Christmas one and all!
I have been so MIA for so long. Goodness, I thought after the children left (20 months ago) that I would have so much time to devote to my passions, but in actuality I've had a hard time getting disciplined about my time. Do you ever find that with your life? So I'm really ready to jump back into card making but still continue to sew and knit.
I have my newest card ready to show you. I came across my patterns for Stitching on Cards several days ago while going through a drawer and looking for something else and felt so drawn to use this technique again. I thought this Butterfly pattern would go well with Tilda with Hawaii flower from the Butterfly Dreams 2011.
I really wanted this card to have a spring feeling. Spring is my most favorite season and when the new leaf buds begin to spring out on the trees I get positively giddy. It's like my sap begins to flow anew.
Here is the front of my card:
I completely enjoyed doing the stitching on this card and coloring Maggie was wonderful therapy for me. I have entered this card at Cute Card Thursday challenge which is anything goes.
Here is how I finished the inside of my card:
I have a pretty extensive list of Copics that I used so here goes...
Skin - E000,11,13,35,51,BV00 and chalk for the cheeks
Flower- Y32,35,38 Leaves - G40, 82 Centers - Spica Black

Sentiments - TLC Creations, Stampabilities

LOVE your stitching on this card! I do a lot of needlework, so I'd really like to give this technique a try. Wish I lived near you so that I could pop over and have you show me how to do it!
