DP2 Challenge #135 - A Circle Card

Hey y'all! It's Thursday and you know what that means? YUP! Another awesome challenge at Mo's DP2.
Actually this card is a scheduled post, 'cause today I'm up in Dallas taking my Intermediate Copic Certification Class! Yaaaa Hooooo!

I actually made this card quite some time ago and it was given to my very dear friend here in town for her birthday. And if you look closely the inside pocket holds a credit card, which I swapped out for a Hobby Lobby gift card! Well that was a little side track, so let's get back to the business at hand...my card!

We're asking you to make a circle card for the challenge this week and of course you must us a Mo image. Just make the card a circle shape and you'll be doin' just fine!

Here's what I came up with using the fabulous "Rosa". Isn't she a swirling beauty?

This is an Easel card, which works perfectly with the circular shape. Here is my card laying flat...

I always love to show you a close up of my images, so you can see how they are colored. Here ya go...

Let's move on to the inside, shall we?

The sentiment is computer generated. I had this song going through my head for hours after I typed and printed it up. Maybe you're not old enough to remember it, but I know I surely am!!! Hahaha...

Here is the card propped open on the pearls...

My friend enjoyed this card very much, as well as the gift certificate which was inside.

Interested in what I used on this card? Here is a recipe...

Dp - Kaiser Kraft
CS - SU Taken with Teal
Copics:
Skin - E0000, 000, 00, 11 and chalk for cheeks
Hair - B60
Dress - YR16, Y11, 35, BG57 and also touches of Spica Turquoise
Pearls - stash
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Pin - stash
Fence - Magnolia Doo Hickey Die

Well, now it's your turn. We'd love to see how you make a circle card....

Blessings and hugs.

Barb

  3. Barb, I love your card. I don't know if I have the fortitude to try a circle one though. How did you cut your circle shape? Also, it sounds exciting to get your Copic certification. Have a great day.

  7. I hope you are enjoying your class, but between me and you, I don't think you need copic classes, your coloring looks perfect to me. As for your card I love the bright colors, I am sure your friend loved it, I also love how you placed the credit card behind the fence. I have to remember that.

Well enjoy your little time away.

    Hugs
