Here we are at the first of March! Yikes!! Is March coming in like a Lion or a Lamb where you are? Here in Central Texas it's coming in as a Lamb with above normal temperatures and still very little rain!
Well, anyway, today is the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge. This one is sure to get you movin' and grovin'! We are asking you to make a card that moves! Like a pop-up card, a swing card, a shaker card! Whatever template you can find that will give you some movement on your card. This will be a super fun challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Like a pop-up card, a swing card, a shaker card! Whatever template you can find that will give you some movement on your card. This will be a super fun challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
I chose to make a Swing Card with a little difference. My little panel swings around, but it doesn't roll along like the others I've seen. I saw a similar card on this blog and got permission from the owner to take her idea. I just want to say that I get so much inspiration from all your blogs and I so appreciate that you share so willingly.
Would you like to see my card? I guess I've waffled along enough for now. Here is the card I made!
This is an Easel card. The actual base is round, but I used my Go Kreate Die XXL Square Frame Frilly#5 for the propped up part. I guess that's a technical term! My flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, I added a couple of leaf punches, pearls from the stash and butterflies from a MS punch. I have also used a combination of Creative Memory Custom Cutting Circles and Spellbinder Circle and Scalloped Circle dies. Cardstock is SU Garden Green and Blush Blossom. The dp was a gift from my BFF Paola in South Africa. The Silk Ribbon is from my stash.
My image is a slightly older Tilda #285 Giggling Tilda. She was among some of the first images I ever ordered from Diana. I've checked the store and she is no longer available and they have given her # to Garden Tilda. So sorry! But, Diana's shop is filled to the brim with such a fabulous selection of Edwin's and Tilda's that you'll have no problem finding just the right one for your project.
Before I show you the mechanics of my card here are a few pictures of Tilda up close and personal and the card propped up on my pearl stopper.
Here is my card with the panel beginning to swing away to the side. It actually swings all the way around - well, until it is stopped by the flowers, but I only took one picture to give you the idea.
How I did this was to punch a hole in the flower panel a little to the side. Then I adhered two pennies together with a pop dot and then adhered my Tilda panel to the pennies with a pop dot. I very carefully slide the bottom penny into the hold so now my Tilda panel is suspended in the hole. She completely pivots around on the pennies.
Here is a side view of my card....the artistic view...
I only finished the bottom inside part of the card and used a Spellbinder Fancy Labels Two for my sentiment which is computer generated. More pearls and butterflies to complete the look!
Well there you have it friends. I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I've done for this challenge. Be sure to visit the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to see what the other DT have done and get lots of inspiration for your own creation. Be sure to link your project to the Mr. Linky so that you have an opportunity to win a generous prize from Diana.
Glad you stopped by for a visit, hope you were inspired and that you'll drop in again soon!
