Happy Monday everyone! I was pretty busy over the last few days making this card, as well as working on a few others. CAUTION: Please put your sunglasses on to view this post!!! Proceed at your own risk!!!!
All you who know me know that I'm just a very soft colors, girly, pearly, flowery kind of crafter. I really don't know what possessed me to begin this project with such "brilliant" colors, but once I had started there was no turning back. Actually this image was intended for a previous card (the pretty girly one with the frame) but when I went to put it together the colors were completely wrong. My BFF was on Skype with me and I showed it to her. She told me to find a different card for my image, so I began hunting through my stash to see what I could find. Well I didn't have to look very long to find the designer paper that went with this image perfectly, but it was birthday. How was I going to get that to meld? Well, put your sunglasses on now, because here's what I came up with. It just evolved like a living creature....
Whad I tell ya?
Okay so now down to some serious business. I have used #206 Baseball Tilda from the "Winner Takes All" collection 2011 for the front of my card. I purchased her from Diana at Magnolia-licious and she is currently in stock.
Here is a close up of her...
A closer look with the flowers...
Here is the Gate Fold card opened up...
On the inside I used #226 Birthday Tilda and #294 Mini Tilda with Balloon and #594 Balloon Background. So here are a couple of view of the inside of the card...
Birthday Cake Tilda and computer generated sentiment...
A close up of how I colored Birthday Cake Tilda...
Left side panel with #226 Balloon Tilda and computer generated sentiment...
Right side panel with #294 Balloon Background with Baker's Twine for the strings threaded through my sentiment panel which is from AmyR...
This time I decorated the back of my card as well...
Okay, you've made it through and you can take off the sunglasses now! Thanks for stopping by and following through this post with lots of pictures. Your comments are always so encouraging.
