Hello blogging buddies! I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. While we are still enjoying the (hopefully) last of our triple digit temperatures, it's been heating up in my craft room!
I have recently joined a Smocking Guild which is affiliated with the SAGA or Smocking Artist Guild of America. We are a very small group, 7 in all, but we're hoping to grow as people hear about us and would like to get back to smocking or learn all about this awesome craft!
I wanted to make something special for each of the ladies, and what better way than to share my love of stamping and sweet Maggies than to make them each a small Matchbook Note Pad. I think these will come in handy as they can be so easily carried and will be great for jotting down particulars of meetings or phone numbers or anything else that may pop up.
Since I already had two that were ready to go (and are now removed from my ETSY shop) I just had to put 4 more together. Here is what I came up with...
I used Magnolia dp for all of my notepads and just scraps of left over cardstock.
This is # 321 HELLO LITTLE BUTTERFLY from the "Butterfly Dreams" collection 2011. She is colored with Copics and I used Distress Inks Weathered Wood and Tattered Rose for the background. The ribbon is some generic stuff from my stash. She is available at Diana's Magnolia-licious shop here and comes in regular size or Mini.
Hair - E35, Y26 and 21
Skin for all images - E0000,000,00,11 and chalk for cheeks
Dress - R81 ,83 ,85
Apron - W00 ,3, 5
Shoes - E35, 34 ,53
This next one is #3011 TILDA WITH STRAW HAT also from the Butterfly Dreams 2011 collection. She is colored with copic markers and the background is also done with the same distress inks. The ribbon is retired SU. This image is available here at Magnolia-licious and comes in both the regular size and Mini.
Copics used:
Dress/socks/bow - BG78, 72, 93; Hair - E17, 18, 19, 13; Flower - RV91, 93, 95, G 24, 20; Butterfly - B21 and Y35; Hat - Y26, 21, Blender; Shoes - E35, 34, 53
Here is the third one I did, again using Magnolia dp. This sweetie is #3012 TILDA WITH STUFFED ANIMAL again from the Butterfly Dreams 2011 Collection. The ribbon is from my stash. This image is available from Diana's Magnolia-licious shop here.
Copics used:
Hair/Shoes - C3, 5, 7, 9
Sheep - C5, 3, 1, Chalk for cheeks
Hat/Outfit - BG72, 18, 10
Flowers - Y35, 21, white gel pen
Ranger Glossy Accents on the shoes
My final notepad. On this one I used #3032 WATER CAN TILDA from the Sweet Rainbow Collection 2011. This is image is available in full size or Mini here.
Copics used:
Dress/Shoes - B21, 93, 95 & Blender
Hair - E25, 27, 23 & Blender
Flowers/Water can - R81, 83 85 & white gel pen
Trowel - C00, 1, E34, 30
Stardust Stickles
Ribbon - stash
