Black and white and POP!



It's time again for the Magnolia-licous Highlites blog hop. I'm the top of the order this month, so you're starting in the right place. This month we were asked to make a card using only black/white and one other color for a pop! I chose to use this sunny Yoyo Yellow from SU and the dp is also from SU.

This is my second attempt to make a frame card from the tutorial on StampArtic. I failed miserably to follow their directions, (which is no reflection on them, but my own inability to follow directions). So instead came up with my own system and got a reasonable facsimile.

    Hi Barb!

    This is JUST GORGEOUS! Your card has actually made me a fan of yellow. It doesn't look good on an olive skinned Italian, but it is STUNNING on your card! I love the bullseye effect too. It really makes your eye zoom into the image of Tilda. Beautifully done :-)

    Ok wow you tackled that yellow!! I hate using yellow and it hates me! LOL!! Gorgeous card tho and you aced the challenge!! I just finished making a card using this image today but I can't post it until next Saturday for MDUC. Dang it I hate hanging onto stuff! LOL!!

    Barb, this is just too fabulous. Loving how you arrange all your layers coming to a centre focal point on that sweet Tilda. Superbly coloured as usual. Love the yellow to go with the B&W. Beautiful flower arrangement. That leaf die is wonderful. I want mine too...right now!!! LOL. I’ve ordered it too, but my shipment is locked away somewhere in an post office depot. Drat this postal strike!!! Beautiful job on the card. Love it.
