He's home...what a loooooong week!

After a busy hectic and very stress filled week, Bill is home as last. They have put him in a cast which will be switched out to a walking cast in a few weeks. Thanks so much to everyone for your uplifting words of encouragement and prayers. I never want to face another week like this past one - but it's all behind us now!

I will have to be administering the antibiotics via the PIC line, so they sent home a weeks worth of medicine and tons of syringes and flushing stuff. The nurse will come tomorrow and show me what to do. Just what I needed - another hat to wear!!!

Even though he's on crutches again, his help with the kids will be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping that I may even get a few moments in my studio again, and I have to say that part of my stress this past week has been withdrawal. My computer is in my studio, so every time I've come in to update or publish comments it's been so hard to just walk out!

Again, thank you to everyone who has left a comment to encourage me through this very difficult week.

Big Hugs,
Barb

  3. Yay!!!! That little light at the end of the tunnel is getting a little bit bigger and brighter every day! Glad to hear he's home, ladybug! That in itself has to take alittle stress away. Hang in there! I know you can do it! After the kids go to sleep tonight (well...kinda late now, so maybe tomorrow night), draw yourself a good hot bath, grab a glass of wine, and turn on the music. You deserve it and it will do wonders for you!

  10. So glad Bill is home -- you can handle the IV with ease - Being home tells me they found the right antibiotic mix. Good luck to you both and I hope you have a good Easter!

  11. How great to see that you've been able to take at least a little time for your passion, and that your husband is doing a bit better. My mother always used to tell me, when things started getting me down ---
"the first hundred years are the hardest"
    Hope everything's up from here!

  12. Barb, I can identify with crisis in the family and caregiving. My prayers are with you. Know that you are not alone in this, even though it seems like it at times. I've found that taking time in my craft room keeps me sane!
