It's hard to believe that I'm making Christmas cards again. That's right!! Our Christmas All Year Long is in full swing today with our first cards for 2011. This is a great way to discipline yourself to getting at least 11 cards made for next Christmas. I'm so glad that you're joining the hop today and I hope you'll get inspired to join in the fun and start making your cards.
The hop starts with me. From here you'll hop on over to Carissa's blog. If you get lost along the way you can always drop by the Christmas All Year Long blog and find the starting place to get yourself back on track!
So let's get started...I colored this image quite a while ago and since it was an image that was sent to me I have no idea of this Edwin's name nor number. I've checked out Diana's shop and can't find him there. I think he is a older image. Since I colored him without having any dp chosen, I just colored what seemed appealing at the time. Then I had to scramble for some DP. I also used some red card stock that was just a tiny piece and didn't have any more to do the rest of my card with. Praises go to my friend Millie, who came to the rescue and brought me two sheets of Cherry Cobbler, which was a perfect match.
Here's my card...
A side view of the card...
A closer look at Edwin...
On the inside of the card I used #275 Winter Sled Tilda...
A closer look...
This is the notation panel...
Recipe:
DP - Eskimo Kisses
Cardstock - SU
Copic Markers
All embellishments are from my stash
Sentiment - JustRite Stampers
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Barb

Hello Barb, How precious, I love this color combo, the icy blue with red. So great to feature Edwin, love him so. Those older images have such a charm. Very lovely DPs, and such nice details. Love the inside, and the lovely decorated pannel o write the wishes: the frame is to die for.

Barb,
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm new to your blog by the way of Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace. I read your comment to her and thought it was one of the nicest well thought out comments I'd read. I just had to see your creations, they are as beautiful as the comment you left for Becca.
This is gorgeous Barb. I love the design, the coloring and the inside is just as beautiful as the outside.

Barb, your card is really BEAUTIFUL! Oh, excellent choice of papers after you've pre-coloured Edwin and Tilda. Do you know I can't decide which is easier to, to choose the matching papers before or after. In either case this usually takes me ages to do.
ReplyDeleteThe inside of your card is just a beautiful as the outside. Love your perfect bow. Hhhh....mine never turned out so good--even with the easy bow!
Hugs,
Norma

“Becca at AmazingPaperGrace.com is Sharing the Comment Wealth and I picked you! You left a comment on her blog on Jan 6th, and that led me here. I'm glad I did! The attention to detail on your designs is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'm moving in a week and will not be designing and creating for a while as I'll be storing my things until I find employment, get my own place, and then come back to get my belongings. So until then I'll be envying everyone in the mean time and possibly going through withdrawal. Happy creating Barb!
I love the image on your card, I have never seen it. This is really nice. I still love Xmas cards the best.
