Hi everyone! After playing around with my altered projects using the Mini's, I think I'm quite ready to get back to making a regular card. Today I have a very bright and cheery card to share with you. She was so fun to make. I've used #338 Cherry Tilda from the Cozy Autumn Collection and she is available at Magnolia-licious . So please drop by Diana's shop and check out all the latest images she has available.
Here is my card...
I used Magnolia dp for this card and lots of bright red accessories to bring out the cherry's. Tilda is stamped on Cryogen and colored with Copics although the shadow around her was done with distress inks. For Tilda's dress/hat/socks I used BG10, 45, 49. For her hair I used E25, 30 & 35. Shoes are colored with C9, 7, 5,3 &1. The Cherries were colored with E46, G94 on the leaves. Skin is colored with E00,000,0000 with Chalk on the cheeks.
The pretty red panel behind Tilda is actually the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis which I cut into quarters and placed behind, leaving enough room for my silk ribbon. I found a pretty fish charm in the teal color that matched the paper so well. A few pearls added to the corners and down the side of the panel complete the front of the card.
Here is a close up of how Tilda was colored...
For the inside of my card I just added a strip of the dp which was matted with red and then stamped just Tilda's face and I made a medalion with it. I used my Scalloped Circle Nestie to mount her on and added some very tiny pearls to each scallop and to each corner of the panel. On the bottom panel I again punched the Fleur de Lis but turned it on an angle, added a small panel of white and a pearl in each corner.
Here now is a closer look at inside Tilda...

Hi Barb!
ReplyDeleteLove the layout of your card. What a good idea to use the Fleur de lis frame this way. I need to experiment more with my things. I love the little pearl border down the side and that ribbon is to die for. (not that I want to die though)

Barb, I have this Tilda and you did a really beautiful card here making her so wonderfully colored and so bright and cheery. Love that fleur de lis in red. It really pops that card and you were so clever to cut it apart for the front. You can't tell if you hadn't mentioned it. Gorgeous in every way!
