Well shake it up baby now, shake it up baby.....

Welcome to the November Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog challenge. This month our hostess is...ME...and I chose to challenge you all to make a Shaker Card. They are a lot of fun!

I have several baby cards I need to make and so #339 Sleeping Baby Tingla and #286 Baby Tingla were my choices for my shaker card. Both images are available from Diana here at the Magnolia-licious store.

This was really fun! I enjoyed the entire process. There are directions to making a shaker card available on the web site, but I had already purchased some Shaker Pouches from Impression Obsession and so that is what I used. I hope that's okay!

Here is a view of the front of my shaker card...it's very simple. I needed to make a baby card for a friend who just recently had a baby girl. What great timing!

I went hunting at Michael's to see what I could come up with to use as my shaking parts and ran into a road block until I spoted some Swarovski Crystals in a very small size. I thought they would be perfect, but unfortunately they were flat backed and the shiney side didn't stay facing forward. I also added some microbeads to the pouch.

Here is a closer look at Tingla, the beads and how I colored her....

I really kept this card quite simple, mainly because I didn't want to overpower my image. The paper I used is some old, old stuff from my stash. There was no name on the paper at all.

For the inside I wanted a sentiment and also something else to give interest to the circles. The sentiment is from SU and the pacifier charm is from my ever growing stash.

Since I have the original Baby Tingla #286, I thought she would be so cute on the inside of the card. Kind of like the baby is now awake. So I stamped a portion of her on the edge of the notation circle. I like the way the area looks much more finished when you add another image.

So here is a close up of Tingla with her pacifier...

Here is a look at the whole inside of the card...

Here is my card recipe:

CS - Whisper White, Pirouette Pink (SU) Cryogen White
DP - Stash
Skaker Pouch - Impression Obsession
Charm - stash
Pink Gingham ribbon for hair bows - SU
Sentiment - SU "God's Blessings"
Microbeads - SU
Swarovski Crystals - Michael's
Startdust Stickles

Copics used:
Skin - E00,000,0000
Cheeks - SU Chalk
Hair - Y26, 23
Pillow - G20,40
Hat and PJ Bottoms - RV0000,00,21
Blouse - Y00,0000
Wings - RV0000,00 and Stardust Stickles
Shadow - W0 W1 W3

Thanks for dropping by to see my latest card. I certainly hope that you'll get busy and give this a try. It's so much fun and I have made a few more which I will post in a day or two.

Hugs
Barb
