Friday Sketcher's Challenge 91
I've had a very busy weekend! My eldest daughter and her youngest child, my precious Kyle, came up for a visit. We have such a close relationship and I just adore it when she can get free and come and spend some time with us. We had a wonderful weekend together, visiting, going to church and shopping!
I wanted to work on a card for the Friday Sketcher's Challenge this week, and managed to steal a few hours for myself. I have such a hard time working with bright colors, preferring the softer pastels. I also have a hard time working with busy patterns. So this was a challenge in and of itself. I did want to use some of my Basic Grey Lemonade dp's which were a gift from a friend. So here's the card I came up with and I have to say, thank you Jacque for the inspiration on how to use the ribbon. I chose tulle instead of ribbon, so that you could see the paper through it.
I colored my image with Copic markers...so here's a closer view:
Here is my card recipe:
Cardstock - SU
DP - Basic Grey
Tulle; Pearls - Stash
Butterfly Punch- MS
Flowers and border punches - SU
Leaf and Vine Punch - EK Success
Sewing machine
Dimensionals
I didn't have enough of that pretty Bluegreen paper to finish the inside of my card. I used some coordinating paper from the same Lemonade series to complete my card. The sheets are only 6X6, but I did find a little scrap of it to finish the bottom of the place where I will write my message. I used my new EK Success punch out that piece.
Here are the Copic markers I used...

Hey Barb,
ReplyDeleteWhat is this image? I looked and looked but couldn't find your reference to a stamp, company or name. It IS a real cutie but these old eyes have a hard time figuring out where the card stops and the mirror begins. : ) I am sure I am the only person with this problem! LOL It is tough getting old! Love the new holders for your Copics. I can't get mine yet because we have to fix the leaking roof on the 3 Seasons porch. Ugh! Happy hugs and keep your wonderful creations coming. I always look at your blogs and love what you share! Congrats on the DT position! My best always, Martha
Too cute, Barb!!! Love your Hanglar image and your coloring is fabulous! Awesome work as always!

Such a little cutie. Love the pearl flight patterns.
ReplyDeleteBarb, aren't those H & T stamps wonderful? That's too bad that they don't make it available here in North America. Your choice of colors are so precious. Those butterflies are so cute!!

A gorgeous card Barb and so beautifully coloured. I love the HA stamp, she's so cute and all your details are just perfect. Have a nice Sunday. Hugs Chris :)
ReplyDeleteBarb, your card is stunning inside and out, I love this sweet image your colours and colouring are perfect. I love the tulle, it adds just a hint of colour without covering any of the pretty papers. The sentiment if perfect. I hope the children are well and settled with their parents. Big hugs Jodie from Oz
ReplyDeleteOh Barb I love this image! How do you get your hands on them? You did an absolutely beautiful job. As usual.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Pam
