Valentines Tilda...

Well another weekend rolls around and it's so cold outside that we can't even take the children out to play. Yikes! At least we're not buried under feet of snow, so I'm thankful for that.

For the past week and a half I have been working on two projects, the one is posted under this posting. This is my other project, now finished also and here is it.

Over at Magnolia Highlites Challenge Blog the challenge for the month, is to make a Frame Card. Each of the DT have their beautiful cards posted and they all look so totally different. Please drop by there to take a look and also to find the link on how to make a Frame card. Claudia Rosa has a super tutorial posted so you can follow along if you like.

So here is my card:

Cardstock - Swiss Dots by Bazzill, Bazzill, Generic White
DP - SEI Lovebirds
Heart Punch / Lace Edge Punch- MS
Key - Stash
Ribbon - Stash
Pearl Hearts - stash
Lace Doily - Stash
Copic Markers
Tilda and Heart - from the new Magnolia Sweden Kit

At first I thought the card was pretty difficult to make so I did a dummy one - a trial run - and that helped me to visualize the way the card was to go. Once I had it figured out (I'm a slow learner LOL) I went to my LSS and picked out the speciality papers I wanted. To add the key, I punched a small hole through the dp and then added a mini eyelet. I put a couple of gold jump rings together in a row, put one end through the eyelet and the other into the key. I tied a small bow using my Bow Easy and glued it onto the key.

Here is a closeup of my Tilda. I masked her to have her sit on the heart...

I put Glossy Accents on her shoes so they were like Red Patton shoes.

The inside was fairly easy. I stamped and colored two more hearts, the top one was printed with the sentiment first and then stamped, colored and cut out. I cut a red circle with my Nestabilies Standard Circle die out of the same swiss dot cardstock and mounted it onto a paper doily. The hearts are mounted together with dimensionals and adhered to the red circle with dimensionals also.

On the bottom section I printed with my computer the sentiment then stamped the Banner from the Magnolia Winter Kit and colored with my Copics.

This has been a fun project, thank you Sharon Caudle for hosting this month and thank you Claudia for the tutorial on how to make these cool cards.
